I thought they were getting coilover suspension instead of leaf springs and keeping the rear axle

    ^ yep

it made a huge difference when I had the habitat on.. super noticeable reduction in roll around corners and much better handling in crosswinds

I plan to keep them on even with the habitat off. ive never run into a situation where they've limited me, even being out west. definitely helps towing too.

Most people drive trucks like their sports cars these days anyhow.

And, most vehicles have both, whether or not they are "sports cars."

I appreciate having them on the 4Runner. However, if I was going for a rock crawler build, I wouldn't have any.

I would want them on a 4Runner because of the short wheel base and tall nature of the vehicle. But yes, they do limit travel when it comes to actual rock crawling etc

    True!

That's where KDSS helps. It's not as good as a sway bar delete, but it adds some articulation. I figured if I ever get to the point where it becomes a limitation, I'll just delete them.

If I had a rock crawler I’d have the anti rock that @BEAR_KNIFE_FIGHT linked. Articulation is great but you can also get too tippy and be floppin

That's part of the reason you won't see me with like 400# of crap on my roof. If I had to carry that much shit, I'd build a Sequoia. :D

Okay, wife is trying to fill up my schedule... this weekend is a Pipeline run as I understand it. Some were talking of play on Friday and Saturday, possibly staying Thursday night for a full Friday. Who is in for Friday and Saturday? Might even be able to squeeze a day at Tigerton on Sunday... I am gonna have 7 hours of driving either way so I would like to play as much as possible.

I'm heading up Thursday night, unless my boss screws me. I'll be on the trails Friday and Saturday, heading out either Saturday evening or Sunday morning.

I believe @jstemp will be there Friday morning for the trails as well. Not sure about everyone else yet.

I just asked everyone to post their ETA on the event thread.

Have two seat covers coming for the 80, originally from South Africa...one of the more unique transit processes I've seen!

Nice! Reminds me of when I ordered my brights. I can't even remember what county they came from.

I looked it up. They were shipped from Estonia. Isn't that where Encino Man came from?

Changed my serpentine belt this morning. 83k. Had a 1/4 x 1/8 inch chunk out of it so glad I decided to do this. Now I need to get motivated and finish the bolt mounts in the boxed area of the frame for my slider... Oh, and my skid plate project too,
