I mean if it had an XO cage and was dolled up for KOH then yes. As a daily/expedition vehicle... Maybe in the desert? Definitely not in the winter though. The stories from year one of the roof leaking or blowing off when it was snowing are hilarious. I mean I feel bad for all the people that spent 70 plus grand on them only to wake up with a foot of snow in their seats but still

Lol. Other issue is width. Around where I'm at the roads touch my fenders frequently. A bronco would never not be getting pinstripes

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
OK, dammit. After getting home and having dinner, I went out to the shed. There I found that I have little 1" square tubing, at least thinwall, but 3/4" I have over 35' of, just waiting to be put to good use. Don't think I need more than 20'.

Last night before bed, I searched and found carpet, HDPE sheets (1/4" should do the job with a decent framework) and picked out about $135 worth of airline L-track goodies. This could be done for possibly under $300. Couldn't fall asleep thinking of how to frame this up.

The bad news is that I'm off on Thur and could probably knock out a good bunch of the framework then. Trap doors are still kicking my butt, needs a bit more research...

I love that we (at least 2nd Gen Best Gen...) are only a few inches wider than 50 inch side by sides... makes for some interesting trail adventures.

So after some research it looks like 07 to 09 FJ front coilovers will work on a Tacoma so at least physically fitting they would be fine. I actually looked up the part number on the coil spring in his picture and it came up as a Tacoma part. I wonder if that had something to do with him not getting the desired ride height. Also I have to imagine the reason for the top coilover to be on the highest groove while the lowest one is on the lowest groove with a top spacer was him trying to get desired ride height.

Should fit, but that's a hella's thick lean spacer. Also see if you can figure out what the rating is on those springs. If you're not running armor, anything heavier than 600 on the front's going to give you a stiff ride

Yeah I don't think it's a lean spacer so much as it was him trying to get the desired ride height. Because not only would that be a large lean spacer but the fact that they are on completely different notches in the shock body too is just too weird.

Lol I'm looking forward to hearing his answers to my questions. I sent him, "Hello. Couple questions for you. First, you said they didn't give correct lift amount. What did you end up getting? 2nd, it appears that the top coilover is set on the highest lift groove while the bottom is on the lowest with a spacer on top, I was curious why that was. Thank you in advance."

Hmmmmmmmmmm "I'm not sure, all I know is I had to send the King shocks in to be rebuilt because the shop I had the truck at couldn't get the truck back to the ride height that it has with the King shocks. I have more parts coming that were left at the shop. I have 37's on my fj. The Bilstein shocks were on and off, and maybe the shop didn't know how to adjust the shocks? All I know is I got the bill and not able to return the shocks."

It's not just a rendering. APG the company that offered the widebody carbon bedsides and prorunner kit for the Ranger is now doing Broncos.

    https://youtu.be/J1oIqkFWOpQ

Little expensive for my taste though lol. When I still had my ranger, I was in awe at some of the builds those guys were doing with them. Living in Wisconsin though, I'll pass on the cost. If I could go Desert baja running in Nevada or something every weekend, it would be a cool idea. Too many farms and not enough dirt out by us :(
