Whereabouts in Door Co? I get up there usually a couple of times a year on the bike and always looking for places to check out.

 

Well, the plan was to wait until after the new year to get sliders and maybe do a bumper and winch...aw hell.

Decided on a bumper...Victory 4x4 Blitz...and damn if they aren't having a sale this month. The savings almost pays for the powdercoating. Guess I'll be tapping into reserves and will replenish a bit later.

As for sliders, I saw a thread by BAMF about a knockdown kit they were going to try. I like what I see, the holdup at this time is shipping. Apparently, they are having a problem with UPS and are suspending the project until they can get a resolution. I'm in line for when they get it figured out.

The winch looks like I will be going with the Badlands. I've read good things about them. Will watch for a coupon while I wait. (Not gonna hold my breath, though.)

Get the 12k badlands w/ synthetic line. The 9k doesn't come with synthetic and has a weird attachment system so it can't be converted.

 

Have to say that the Badlands winch is a bargain. I have used mine more than I should, so I can say it also works fine. Have not run up against a duty cycle issue yet. Advice? Buy the synthetic rope at the start.
