Toyo 33s in C (concerto) are definitely on my list for the Puddle Jumper.

Anyone have a fire extinguisher mounted down below the driver seat on a bracket like the Desert-Does-It? I'm curious to know if they get in the way of your feet. Leaning towards mounting on the back of the passenger headrest instead using the Adventure Trail Gear mount but it does seem more unobtrusive mounting down low in the wasted area.

Tigerton's rules & regulations got me thinking about this, never thought the fire extinguisher rabbit hole went this deep...

Not yet, but this is a future plan of mine. I finally got hold of a set of seat jackers but I haven't installed them quite yet. If I do end up keeping them, I will give that mounting bracket a shot.

I have to adjust my seat so I have my extinguisher mounted behind the center console. Easy enough to reach but not up high where it becomes a projectile in the event of catastrophe

The seat rest one I got had to be remade... I was not impressed. Works great now though. Definitly out of the way there. I have the one in the bed and one in the cab. Fire extinguishers are cool!

Yeah, I have one mounted on a DDI seat riser. I didn't use their quick release, just the regular latch release of the fire extinguisher bracket. [2.5lb]

Having spent a decent amount of time hanging out at car wrecks, I'm pretty reluctant to have anything that heavy unsecured. I also don't like things on the headrest...double so if it's not really secured.

Edit: It's a minor inconvenience in the sense that I can't put my feet all the way towards the seat...but I really don't take my feet off the pedal/dead pedal area so it's not a big deal to me.

I can get some pictures if you'd like.

I put my fire extinguisher between the drivers door and the seat, then jury-rigger a velcro strap around a seat mounting bolt to hold it in place. A quick tug and it's out.

Thanks for the idea but won't work for me. Headrest or the front seat bracket mount are what I'm looking at.

Perfect thanks, that's what I'm looking for. I plan to have a 2nd in the bed somewhere as well.

Thanks appreciate the info, no pictures needed just feedback on how you like it. Good to know it doesn't really get in the way much. I'm short so it probably affects me more.

I ordered the Adventure Trail headrest mount and going to give it a whirl. It's pretty inexpensive and worst case if I don't like it I'll get the low mount. Mainly asking because Desert Does It is having a Black Friday sale so now is the time to get one. Lots of great sales right now... :anonymous:

I have the headrest mount. So far from the last 3 outings the fire extinguisher hasn't moved.

Have been thinking I should mount one. Just bought the DDI MMP for a possible mounting point or one may possibly fit behind the driver's seat on the delete shelf.

    Somehow missed this...

I am very happy with mine. I'm running LT265/75/16 which are E load rating. They are heavy but part of that weight is the extra tread depth, the rest is the 10 ply carcass. They work well in mud, snow, and wet roads. I drive pretty aggressive on the roads and find them very capable on dry roads. When it gets wet, I find them very predictable and they give me a lot of feedback that they are about to let go so I can back it down a notch.

They are relatively quiet, considering the type of tire they are.
