    Advice is free.
    It's how you use it.
Then it gets to be :spending:

I'm thankful for the people I've met on here every month when the credit card bill comes.

    Here's a fun mini-rant...

One of my motivations for someday getting the brightest light bar and spotlights I can find for a new front bumper has nothing to do with off road adventures or camping excursions. I live across the street from a small nursing home facility. They're great neighbors. They have a large field I've used for training my dog while the residents watch. My daughter has planted flower gardens for them. I've jump started cars for a couple employees over the years.

Occasionally (a couple times a week) a visitor will sit in their running car in the back lot for 15, 30, 60+ minutes with their damn headlights shining right up my driveway.

    PXL_20221209_033450228.jpg

This upsets me and my dog, perhaps irrationally, but you can see where I'm going with this. Just a couple friendly flashes at first, but if ya don't take the hint, you get all the lumens! Sadly, my wife isn't bothered by this enough to let me move forward with my plan. There is a reason she handles our finances.

Thanks for all the help and advice fellas. I feel like this could have been its own topic elsewhere on the forums (and has been many times probably) but dealing with you guys I don't have to put up with egos and asinine comments and insults.[/QUOTE]

We save the comments & insults till we are looking you in the face cause they just wouldn't be the same over the interwebs, like sarcasm it doesn't relate well.

You just keep that credit card warmed up we have lot's more you can spend on, just stay tuned!

+1. I like your style. I'd do the same. (Maybe pipe in some Ozzy, Iron Maiden, etc. for effect.)

A possible cost effective solution - get a big mirror.

So I finally got my rebate gift card for purchasing my tires and I am going to get some Rokblokz mudflaps and they have two different sizes you can get Long and short and I am hazing a dilemma on what to get. So I commute down a gravel road everyday so I still need that protection. Their short version seems a tad too short and there long version is just too long. I have been thinking that I could like trim the long varient with a bandsaw or something similar to make them shorter. Do any of you 2nd gens have rokblokz on your truck because it seems like the only photos I can find of them on 2nd gens are from Rokblokz. Anyways what do yall think I should do?

Personally I'd go with the short ones. What's the difference, maybe 2"? Cutting them off 1" extra is probably placebo more than actual effectiveness but that's just my assumptions.

Got the CR-V repaired. Tension pulley bolt broke! Had to replace the tension pulley and belt... bit more of a job than I had planned. Once the UCA's come back from the powder coater I can start getting the suspension parts installed. I think they are going to be black as that was the easiest cost wise... The hemorrhage continues: snow tires for the other CR-V (yes, I have two... keeps the truck in the garage all winter!)

I'm going to try to talk my Mom's BF into buying this. It would be perfect for hauling firewood up north. But, he already has the Tiger Truck, so it's going to be a tough sell

    Hakkapliittas?

Rotiiva's are AT's. The Hakkapliittas are the winter tires. But, the Rotiivas look like they'd be great in snow also.
