So... before you crucify me, understand my reasoning. I have been running Blizzaks for many years and have had no issues with them. In fact I think they are great tires. I did look at the Nokians, but they were a LOT more expensive. So, no. I did not go Nokian.

I think Blizzaks are excellent tires. I haven't priced anything out recently. But, I probably would have done the same if there was a significant price difference.

I just like saying "Hakkapliittas."

I would expect them to be a great all year tire. But, a 3PMSF all terrain is nowhere near a true winter tire.

I'm not sure what the appeal of wear markers is. A tread depth gauge is like $5.

And a tread depth gauge doesn't involve you getting on you knees with a flashlight to find the tiny little wear marker deal lol

Yea... I have both as well. I found with the under hood that I needed more, so I added two rock lights about halfway down the hood to illuminate the back of the engine.

Edit: Need is a strong word; maybe, wanted is a better choice...

Did some offroading today, only not in the truck (wish I had it though).

We’re doing the last week in June with 4 other couples. Taking non-hardcore wheelers and spending the first weekend in Ouray/Telluride/Silverton with just my wife and then we got a big house outside of Moab for the week

Took advantage of the rain washing away the salt to get the old girl out one last time before hibernation.

    Looking forward to 2023!

There's a company that builds camper/ice shanty trailers, has wheels that move up & down so you can haul it out on the ice and set it down to seal the floor and hatches to fish.

See like two or three of them every year at Crandon for the races.

Those things are sweet! Nothing better than sitting in a comfortable, warm room and catching dinner while watching TV. :D
