@pearing you could probably make use of this with all the snow you've received...granted it's a third gen, but still!

Have you had a chance to test the locker?

I can't answer for Cygnus but those look a lot like the Wheelers u bolt flip kit with durobumps (or something resembling them). Lots of kits for that now on the market, Archive, AccuTune, Timbren, etc etc. I'd definitely make sure to paint/powdercoat them up here in salt & snow land though.

At the local ski area the guy running the place bangs around in a 3rd or 4th gen 4Runner with tracks... I need to find a money tree... Gears and lockers, gears and lockers, gears and locks...

    Wheelers kit with super bumps.

Steel is coated (zinc? Wrong color, same idea), no need for paint. Just hit with fluid film once yearly when you do the rest of the truck

:101010: looks great!! Did you get the winch wired up too?

If looking for ubolt flip with bump stops check out Archive Garage with Option 3 bumps

I've had both, and while Wheelers kit is great over stock I feel the Archive kit is better. The Archive bumps are more progressive and don't hit as hard and the top plate is beefier. The top plate on my wheeler kit actually bent on me and that was the cause for the change to the Archive kit

Oh, and for anyone wondering. Doing the CMR to the 2nd side only took me 4 hours. What a PITA. One star would not recommend. Almost like Toyota didn't want those cab mounts to come off.

The wheelers top plate is beefy enough that if you bent it.... Either it wasn't installed correctly, or you were doing dune jumps or something lol. :bikewhoops:

Thanks. Just have to connect the ground today and put my current plate on the mount, old plate was just to test fit.

After I installed it I went back at a later date to do some leaf spring stuff and had them off. When reinstalling the plate bent before I got to the 80ft torque. So :notsure:. I'm not saying wheelers is bad, just one guy on the internet experience.

Anyone need some CMC plates for a 3rd gen Taco. They're from Bay Area Metal Fab. Just pay shipping or free for pickup or I can bring them to a get together.

If Jason has any bent parts on his truck it's probably from someone else driving it.:D

The stock intake is in a terrible spot, especially if you take your fender liners out. Aside from the looks, I assume they snork'd that thing to move the intake out of the direct throw of the tracks.

90ft is what they call for now. Maybe they have newer plate design?

Agreed. Gonna do the same to mine.... Eventually
