they are like 99% the same. sliders and suspension are interchangeable 2005+

5.29's with little ol 34's? Must just scream on the freeway. Why not 35's; or, better yet 37's? Ohhhh, Cab chop etc probably not done. Looks nice though.

 

Maybe they were preparing for 37's or 40's.

 

On 3rd gens changing to 5.29 gears with the automatic trans and a larger tire puts the ratios close to the stock Manual trans gearing. So that truck is probably around 2200 RPM at 70mph

For reference: right now with my MT, 33" tire, and 4.88 gear I'm at about 2500rpm at 70mph. Once I get the 35's on my RPM will drop to about 2300 at 70MPH.

 

It’s not nearly as bad as you’d think. The stock gearing in the auto is pretty awful. I’d run 4.88s if you stayed stock size and 5.29 on anything bigger. It needs it.

4.88s put it close to the factory manual gear ratios and it drives completely different.
