True. I'm sure there are several factors causing the prices to go up. I wonder if it will get as ridiculous as the 40 series, or JZA80 Supras.

Some 40 series are downright insane. Companies like The FJ Company, specializing in frame off custom restorations, charge $150k-$300k.

Granted, the work is top of the line and the end result is a dream vehicle.

The FJ40 we have at the shop looks fantastic and the body is immaculate. The running gear underneath is damn near mint too. The engine however... Is just sad

That was my recommendation to the owner but he sort of scoffed at the idea. Of course! He also has the last trail teams FJ Cruiser ever made in Calvary Blue, one of the first third gen tundras ever made like unit production number 20 or something ridiculous like that, two MR2s, a Mark 3 Supra and who knows what else

The only thing I'd swap an F series I6 for is another F series I6. :D

    Or, maybe a Toyota diesel.

This sounds like quite the collection! Let him know that I'd gladly hang on to that MK3 Supra for him. ;)

Seems like he's not a GM fan...so I would love to suggest an LS swap and watch him lose his mind

You're about to make me lose my mind! :fistbump:

But, it might be funny to see the guy's reaction. If I were @CygnusX191 , I wouldn't do this unless there were witnesses around. He might get a well deserved kick in the nuts for recommending such blasphemy.

Problem is even the guys in the shop would hate me if I brought that up. I mean one or two of them might like it, the master tech to my right is a bona fide Camaro collector. And some of the cars he brings in are insanely powerful

Well, I done went and did it.

I tried for hours with other brands (Icon, OME, Bilstein, Dobinsons) and just couldn't put together a package this nice for anywhere near this sale price. (And free recovery boards too!) I learned a TON along the way and kept coming back to the Ironman setup. It just checked all of the boxes for me. I'm really looking forward to learning more with the installation, and I'll be sure to post my experiences and a good review. Special thanks to @WiscoPat @Camerasandcoffee and @Supr4Lo for steering me right and giving me a lot of great advice and feedback on my research!

I told my wife to call yours.
Looks a real good set up.
So looking at the front springs your getting, do I see a bumper and a winch in your future?

HAHA! Yeah, this morning I dropped off a dining table I made for a client and they were so happy that they gave me an extra $600. I promptly returned home and completed the checkout for the package already in the shopping cart at the site.

Yep, went with the heavier front springs for a future bumper and winch, along with the 80lbs of skid plates already on there.

The Frontier crowd absolutely loves the iron Man Suspensions. They're real popular on forerunners in the Southeast as well. From everything I've seen, they are excellent for overland/adventure style driving. I think you're going to have a really good time with those and we're all excited to see the pictures of your setup

This is what I turned into a new suspension kit. The top is made from cedar from the client's grandparent's family farm that was recently sold, along with some locally sourced cherry. The base is made from old growth Douglas fir beams from a property that the client bought. Turned out alright. Woodworking is my other hobby. My wife has dealt with many years of tool purchases for that and hates that my hobbies are expensive while she does jigsaw puzzles and makes me delicious food for her hobbies. She has an expensive oven, so... yeah.
