Looks like it's going to be a good crowd!

So far, we have 12 camping, and 2 more joining Saturday for the shenanigans.

2 more days of stupid work and I'm heading out!

    1) YES! I will be there!
    2) YES! I'm bringing a friend who has no idea what he's in for!
    3) I'll leave work on Friday around 5 and head up, probably get there around 9. I have GPS if someone can tag the spot so I can get there in the dark.
    4) I'll have a tent. Whether I can set it up in the dark is another thing.
    5) Hoping for mud and puddles, but not crazy about trying anything dangerous on my first off-road trip with this truck. Just got a new job (it's why I've been too busy to reply) and it requires a lot of driving. Can't break my only method of income!

I'll tag the spot on Thursday and post it here after I get a site.

I would recommend that anyone without an offline map app on their phone should get one.

Gaia GPS is popular. I like Avenza maps as well. This will help if we split up at any point during the day Saturday.

If you get Avenza maps, you can download the Wisconsin MVUM maps for the national forest areas. It's been great for keeping me where I belong.

Here's a link to the motor vehicle usage maps. The Lakewood/Laona district is where we'll be, mostly. The southernmost part of the pipeline is not on that map, which is why I never explored there yet.

Picked up this combo also, had plenty of good reviews and if I have questions on Saturday at least two of you could probably help.

It's pretty easy to set up. I'm planning on having it on Friday and Saturday in case anyone wants to say hi once they get close to the campsite.

I'm going to wait on a cb this run, but will have my baofeng.

My +1 might be bringing his gf. But she wants to bring her friend too, which I said the gf is fine but the gf's bff eh idk. Don't really want 4 in the truck, especially because idk the other girl to well. He also doesn't really like her bff lol

Edit* adding. Not super sure on how to use the cb/wire set it up. The two links sent cover all the wires needed? Also difference between that handheld vs one that's a box?

I will have room for a passenger, if that helps. At least then I wouldn't technically be talking to myself while I'm driving.:D

    It's your call.

If it's the 2 links I posted, I'm pretty sure that's all I have. I also picked up rechargeable batteries so that I could use the CB in handheld mode.

Don't post about what you almost did, go back to the dealer, make the trade, then post it up.

You won't miss the manual transmission

Plus you'll have a covered sleeping area!

    Do it!!!
