Wisconsin area events, parking lot parties and social gatherings

I’m planning on leaving (Racine) at 4:45-5am Saturday. I should be at the Lansing Qwik Star gas station around 9am to top off and head to the ball field parking lot by 9:30.

 

I have no idea what 4:45 even looks like! omfg.

Only a dozen years ago or so (2 dozen years ago)that’s about when I’d arrive back at home. Bars close at 2am but didn’t officially kick ya out till 3am. Take a cab to get food and bam, it’s 5am!

It’s funny if I’m going fishing or a trip for me , 4am wake up is easy. Getting up at 4AM for work once a week? Not happening!

 

Are most people camping saturday night? Still figuring out what I’m doing..

I had a bottle of Glenfidfich but my neighbors and I killed it!
I’ll be bringing some Yukon Jack (Canadian honey based liqueur, made from Canadian whiskey and honey) for the camping part of the trip. These should pair well!

the wife and I will be camping both Friday and Saturday.

I was considering bringing some whiskey myself. Not sure what just yet. Probably Elijah Craig or Knob Creek.

 

Welp.

Thanks guys for letting me invite myself, but as we are getting closer it's becoming obvious that I wouldn't be able to get off work early enough to make the trip from Chicagoland to Lansing Friday night. Leaving Saturday super early to make the 4 hour trip is not very appealing, and combined with a prior commitment Sunday morning that prevents me from camping Saturday night... it's just all around not going to work out this time.

Fingers crossed the timing will work out better for me next time!

 

It's a whatever you feel like weekend! For me yes, scotch and cigars will be on hand

 

I can get up at almost any time if it's for something I want to do.

I was curious what your plan was. It will be good to catch up! I think the last time we hung out was the super dusty T.W.A.T run in July of '19. Good times!

This is turning into a big party! @WiscoPat , @Camerasandcoffee and I will make sure there's room for everyone Saturday.. I wonder who's the 4th camping Friday?

I’m probably going to make it to Lansing Saturday morning and hopefully camping Saturday night if I can book a site tomorrow. Did you guys book online or call the campsite/park?? I’m not having any luck in the website

There are no reservations this time of year. @WiscoPat and I will probably ve the first ones there and try to secure 2 or 3 sites right away.

Dang, working that weekend. We take several trips down Lansing, McGregor area every year on motorcycles, love having a beer at Toplling Goliath or Pulpit rock in Decorah Iowa. Pork tenderloin sammys at St. Olaf are fantastic!

 

I might actually be in for this weekend. Stars are aligning. Just need to clear it with the tower.
