my oem exhaust & muffler was stainless steel (?of sorts?), it was NOT resistant to the winters and associated puddles

my new exhaust from the cat back is so nice that a magnet will NOT stick to it, but it did stick to that crusty oem

perhaps the newer trucks have better materials!

Ran the Pipeline trail today (sort of, since most of it’s closed)! Soft sand, deeeeeep mud puddles, narrow overgrown two track, endless maze of FS roads that were closed (back tracked so damn many times)...

One steep rock to crawl up (pic doesn’t do it justice)

And the only stretch of rocky road I’ve seen in WI... even on a 3’ lift with 34” I scratched up the rocks a little.

Next year I hope to meet up with some more Toyota people up there. I had a great time, though!

The exhaust on my '03 4runner lasted well over 200K before developing a small leak. Then I replaced it with a gibson cat-back which I hacked up and put in a magnaflow muffler which made me hate driving it. I put the Gibson muffler back in it later and it was much quieter.

I'm debating buying a GoPro for the weekend (and future trips) due to the integrated GoPro mount on the windshield, but the new models tend to come out in late September. Does anyone else plan on bringing a GoPro or similar and getting some good group shots or actions shots when we ford the raging rivers (hopefully just puddles)?

I have a generic go-pro mounted to my mirror. I'll be running it while we're screwing around Saturday.

I'd recommend that anyone else with a go-pro bring it along if possible.

I have a hero 4 black and a pile of accessories. I'm curious how long the suction cup would last on the side of the truck. So yes I can bring mine!

If it’s the actual GoPro one, it’s super solid. I’ve never had it fall off unless you smash it into something.

I would mount it on the hood if possible. There's a lot of brush and the trail is tight in a few spots, so it might get knocked off if mounted on the side. It should be safe on the hood. Well, sort of..

Had a small dent on the door and the frame looked straight . The underside didn’t look bad
