    Badass!

While it would be pretty cool to have something like that to run trails with, I really like having a fairly capable vehicle that is comfortable as a daily driver.:)

A few questions if you would. Whats a good time frame to do the TWAT? Where are you normally stopping over night if you're starting at the south end and heading north? Heading back to Chicago after.

    Thanks

I would plan on 2 long days or 3 easy days.

There are a lot of nice campgrounds in the Medford district of the Chequamegon Nicolet National forest, but you'd have to start very early and drive all day to make it there in one day.

There are a few write-ups on various forums that might recommend some places to stop.

I hope to be running the northernmost section sometime this summer.:)

It’s so nice to be out of the city and enjoying lake country for the weekend. Spending time at the family cabin on High Lake. Kayaking and chilling on the covered!!! front porch. And working on my truck of course!

I fucked up and didn’t call the boat storage place in time to have it this weekend. But the weather was perfect for the kayaks. The fucking little biting flies, however are super super bad

    Looks like a great spot!

We're out at the cabin in Adams county, enjoying the weekend as well.

Yeah we are spoiled here. Two bed, two bath cabin on the lake with fireplace. Big covered porch With a great view. Normally we have a boat and the two kayaks. It’s not roughing it in any way.

The covered porch is key. The bugs up here are utter bullshit.

This is the view! (This is before the used boat and used boat lift upgrade...)

Beautiful view!! I've grown quite fond of the lanai at my Mom's boyfriend's place in Florida. It's basically a giant screen porch. It's a nice place to hide when the no-see-ums come out. Those things are awful!!

Thanks man. I have a good link that lists multiple camp sites, just trying to narrow it down so I can possibly book ahead of time, not sure how many of them are no reservation. Thanks again.

If you knew approximately where you might like to stay, I might have some ideas. Most of the state and federal campgrounds allow reservations, and some of them have dedicated sites that are first come/first served.

I'm hoping to camp right on the north end of the T.W.A.T sometime this summer.

Nowhere specific, just gonna take the trail and break it into three sections and see which campsites are closest! Worst comes to worst I'm pretty good at sleeping in the drivers seat :)

Yep, that's the Mandan Loop. Cool trail, all public, easy trail, could be muddy. The tocket range is on the tip. Cool spot. I love Copper Harbor

Easy trail is what I’m looking for. I’m still stock. No suspension upgrades. Didn’t put sliders on it! lol. It’s my daily driver and I like the 22-23mpg on my 120 mile daily work commute.

    Lol

End of June? What dates? I'm out of town the weekend of the 20th.

    Looks interesting..

I've never heard of this. I've been meaning to check out the U.P.:)

If my mother in laws house sale goes through she will be out there around June 16-20 and returning by June 26.

its 4hrs to Crandon from my house. I was hoping I time that right.

Dates are fluid right now because the buyers offered and she just countered.
