Right, a little extra caster is nice. The 4Runner is at 3.9°, but that is within factory specs.

But, the shop should be able to get it into stock specs. The specs don't need to be anything other than stock specs unless you are running oversized tires and request it.

Why would anyone actually want toe in? I am at 0.0° toe and camber and have no issues.

    So. Many. Stickers.
We're talking a tiny tiny tiny bit of toe in. Helps a tracking when you're on oversized tires and big unwieldy 4x4s. In my experience, tires below 35 in really don't need that setting but I've seen it recommended quite a few times in various off-road groups, racers, mechanics, engineers, etc. I don't really see an issue with having your toe set at 0.0 perfect.

I was curious, so I googled it. Apparently, it can keep the tires straighter at higher speeds as rolling resistance pushes them back. Seems interesting. I never considered the possibility that the alignment would change with speed, but now I could see a benefit.

I might ask the guys at Performance Off-road about it when I have them check my alignment sometime this year.

Oh, yeah, you should be fine then. As mentioned, they should use stock specs, and possibly a little extra caster as @CygnusX191 mentioned.

It sounds like those guys are idiots. I don't know if I would trust them with an alignment at this point.

I'm mostly interested in knowing why one location (mine for example) will do it and another one (yours) won't. Same company. Only difference is the state.

I haven’t had the Taco done, so I can’t vouch there. But comstock on park st did my Jeep after new oversized tires. I thought they did an amazing job and it tracked which ever direction the road slanted
