    I've mostly had good encounters with ATV's and UTV's. Drunk guys in full size Fords can be annoying, though.



    True, a lot of our trails are also ATV and UTV trails. But, they're prohibited on the actual Pipeline.

    I don't mind sharing. :) The more people there are using the trails, the more it makes sense to keep them open.

    I think so. A lot of folks already are. CB is becoming obsolete.

    I plan on being on GMRS by June.

    Full size guys are the worst. They think because their vehicle is huge that they don't have to move over at all. Back when I was young and drove a shitty vehicle I would play chicken with them now not so much.

    Other than the Pipeline, there aren't many public "off road" trails in the state, correct?
    Having a UTV/ATV would increase the trails available to you in Wisconsin 1000 fold.

    Correct. Most of the other "trails" that allow full size vehicles are generally ATV/UTV trails as well. And, yeah, there are some ATV/UTV trails that don't allow trucks. In general, most of our "trails" are just shitty forest service roads anyway.

    You'd definitely have access to more trails altogether with a UTV.

    Just pointing out that we do have some trails for full size vehicles.

    What is the trade in tax break?

    When you buy out of state, you simply pay taxes due when you register the vehicle in Wisconsin

    I forgot the specific percentage for wisconsin, but when you trade in your vehicle they take what the amount of sales tax would be on your vehicle you are trading in and subtract that from your taxes on your new vehicle. And since I am an addict and trade yearly the tax break given almost pays for the sales tax on the new vehicle every time. So even though you get less money trading in than you do selling private party the tax break almost makes up the difference.
