    That's encouraging. Thank you!

@jstemp had recommended a nice package deal from Midland. I believe it was the MXT 275.

Thanks for the suggestions. Lots of options out there. I think I'm staying away from Midland and going with Radioddity or if I get a sugar mama maybe splurge on the Wouxun. Had that Laird phantom bookmarked from another post on the Wiscommsin thread I think lol. I'll probably do a phantom on hood lip to get something up quickly and then re-do it all again later to mount up on top of the cab when I get more time (and finish doing a rack on the camper shell).

Too many other projects taking my attention right now. Hopefully my new suspension shows up soon from Accutune so I can get to work before next fall/winter gets here.

I really like my Wouxun KG-1000G. Like others mentioned it's pricey for a GMRS radio, but it also has features I wanted.

Did you go with the new Fox Performance Elite shocks?

STL crowd uses mixed comm types.

Yelling, swearing, creative swearing, the finger, smoke signals.....

Radiodity are useless. Can't ship anything, they'll "lose" orders in the UK, half their stuff gets lost in China somewhere.... At least I got my money back, but still....

Yeah Fox Performance Elite 2.5" extended front and rear, SPC UCAs, Deaver U402 stage 2 leafs. Already have Archive U bolt flip and hammer hangers with 3.6 shackles on the bench waiting for install. Trying to do it once and be done. It's my daily so I have to limit things and be (relatively) reasonable on the goals so this should do it.

Interesting thanks for the info. Going to keep doing research.

I can picture Mr. Danger using his bullhorn now..."HEY GUYS GUESS WHAT NEW CAR I'M GOING TO BUY? OOH LOOK - SQUIRREL!"

 in these crazy times I may have no choice but to hold on to the Subaru (as mentioned previously that's not a bad thing whatsoever) So I'll be in the Subaru screaming, "MAYBE IF I JUST SPEND MORE MONEY ON MODIFICATIONS THAN EVER BEFORE - WHAT IF I JUST BOUGHT A UTV INSTEAD?!"

With what some people spend on mods, they could definitely buy a more capable utv

    and probably save money lol

UTVs are for farm work and hunting.

    UTVs/SXSs are cancer on trails

Reasonable as in it's the biggest baddest suspension I can put on without modifying beyond the status of reliable daily driver. I've already had to stop myself and have a come to Jesus moment on that. Also I plan on keeping it until I'm in the ground / until EVs take over so kind of an investment for how they can be rebuilt.
Funny I traded in a Subaru to buy a Tacoma. With fuel prices this high sometimes wish I kept it (or kept both but I'm not at a station in life where that is do-able or even makes sense). Only thing that ever scared me on the Suby is CVT being a ticking wallet bomb, about $7k to replace one last I checked. I'd keep the Subaru stock-ish if it were mine and then buy/build a toy that you can beat on for the trails.

Agreed, but in Wisconsin, ATV/UTV trails are all we have. A SxS would be perfect around here. The Wisconsin crew doesn't make it out of the state very often, so it would make sense

Yeah, the CVT is the reason I most likely won't be keeping it outside of the warranty period. As least that's my excuse anyway :pHonestly this is crazy. I never thought I'd see a time where getting a regular new vehicle would be a struggle. I understand niche vehicles with weird options but to not be able to get a TRD Off road Tacoma or Pro4x Frontier with common packages is nuts

I've mostly had good encounters with ATV's and UTV's. Drunk guys in full size Fords can be annoying, though.

True, a lot of our trails are also ATV and UTV trails. But, they're prohibited on the actual Pipeline.

I don't mind sharing. :) The more people there are using the trails, the more it makes sense to keep them open.

I think so. A lot of folks already are. CB is becoming obsolete.

I plan on being on GMRS by June.
