Hey cheeseheads! I'm moving from Wyoming back to my hometown of Eau Claire in the next month. Looking forward to maybe meeting up with some if you guys. Our Wyoming contingent is pretty tight knit and I'm sad to leave but I know you WI guys are out there.

I am about an hour north of EC. Make it down that way fairly often. I would be down for a meet up some time. Welcome back! Hope you haven't forgotten that around here Beer isn't just a breakfast drink.

Anyone in need of a Falken Wildpeak tire in a 265/70/16 size? Brand new & only mounted as a spare for few weeks. Switched tire sizes so no longer needed. Asking $75 for it. Located in Madison. 1D17D9E8-8BBB-4328-B05B-7C460ADA8EE4.jpg

Hey WI TW folks! I just moved to Green Bay for grad school this fall. My wife has family in Milwaukee and a family cabin near Boulder Junction. We are both pretty psyched to be in WI for a while.

Any of you know a good 4x4 oriented shop/mechanic that knows Tacoma’s in GB, MKE, or Madison? I’m living in a temporary apartment til I find a place and am without a garage for now. I put a king suspension lift on before I moved out here but didn’t have a chance to adjust the coilovers. I also need someone to box in my cab mount chop. Recommendations?

I also will be pickin your brains for winterizing the hell out of my truck later. I don’t want a spot of rust!

The shop I have been working with in Baraboo is pretty solid. They built my bumper and RTT carrier, as well as doing my CMC. I can PM you the info if you would like.

Good call. Mirror Lake is up that way as well [west and north, in the Dells/Delton area] and worth a quick trip as well. The shop is called Eli's Offroad -- you can check em out on facebook or I can send you their contact info.

You’re not from around here, are you? It will rust no matter what you do. (Unless you park it.)All you can do is minimize the cancer. I just had a new frame put under mine because of rust.

Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
Up here in the Salt Belt rust prevention is a must or you won't have a truck in a few years. Like some have said preventing ALL rust is impossible up here unless you park it in a nice environmentally controlled space and clean it and touch-up paint/undercoating meticulously after each time you take it out. Even then it will likely eventually begin to rust. On Toyotas, that tends to be the worst on the frame, from the inside out.

With that said, there is a lot you can do to prevent rust. I'm not sure on the newer trucks but on older trucks, there was a time you could get free undercoating from the dealership. IMHO that undercoating did very little to help other than to extend the coverage for frame rot. My best advice it to throughly clean the under side, touch up any spots in the undercoating and coat it with Fluid Film. Then redo the FF every fall. That has worked well for many folks. Good luck!

Admittedly, I'm not very capable when it comes to modifying things. Even bolt on gives me troubles :D
