Oh yeah, it is no exaggeration when I say that engines are music to me. I can listen to them for hours. There are so many good sounding motors out there it's insane.

For as much as I loved that track, I always had terrible luck there. Blew 2 engines, broke suspension parts, got hit in the first corner which flattened a tire, throttle stuck WFO (ran much of the race that way...very interesting to say the least).

Surprised the hill was that open, fall run and you'd be shoulder to shoulder fighting for a veiw.

That was just practice but yesterday definitely wasn't as full as I thought it would be. Today will be more full.

Awesome Larry! My family has a house on Silver Lake in Laona, just down the road from Crandon. I grew up spending summer vacations up there fishing and deer hunting in the fall. All the times I've been to Crandon I've never seen a race. I'll have to talk to my cousins living up there.

Southern Italy is gorgeous, specially along the coast line. And yes, the people were very nice.

Damn. Guess that's why they've been bugging me to get my 2020 lease back. Sorry, but I'm gonna buy it!

Well, I don't get up there much anymore, and wasn't looking for public trails much when I was younger. I did spend a lot of time hunting on the north side of hwy 8 between Laona and Crandon, so I know the fire trails back there very well from walking them. Vehicles weren't allowed without special permission. I believe that public hunting land is part of the Nicolet National Forest and managed by some local lumber companies? I no longer know the details. My dad, grandpa, cousins and uncles all hunted there as long as I can remember.
