So my new Viair compressor came today and it's nice! Heavy, solid, appears to be very well made. I ordered the deflator you linked to as well and that's coming tomorrow, but the new compressor has a deflator on it that can be used for intermittent or continuous deflation by locking it open. Do I need the Boulder Tools one? Is it just faster? More convenient?

The deflator is both more convenient and probably 3 times faster. The Boulder tools deflator removes the valve core into the tool so the air has an unrestricted path out. Try them both out and see what you think.

You should get a set of these. Then you don’t need the deflator ;)

These aren’t what you are thinking of.

these replace the valve stem. You remove the cover and pull the release and it dumps air. From what I’ve seen people will open and count to 10 to get where they want.

it would be more beneficial on larger tires (35+) but it’s still pretty cool

I assume these are what you were thinking of

You're correct. I was thinking of the Staun deflators.

The product in the link seems like it would be worthwhile for very large tires. I'm good with my little ARB or Shittybilt deflator.
