Not sure what level you're talking about but for rolling tool cabinets, Harbor Freight has some damned fine boxes. Have no input on cabinets, etc.

I've got a Milwaukee box from Home Depot. its one of the better built ones I could find. much more solid and heavier gauge steel.

No kidding! It took me decades to finally pick up a nice rolling tool cabinet with a multi drawer toolbox on top.
I helped a friend hang a garage full of drywall so he could mount his new wall of tool cabinets and in return, he gave me his old toolbox!

I cried once because of how great it was

And years later I cried when the frame pulled a Thanos and just evaporated into the wind

I went down the toolbox rabbit hole a while back. Suffice to say I'm still kickin my old overflowing 3-piece Craftsman box from like 1990 because I haven't decided yet. Also might have something to do with $$$ on Taco mods...

Harbor Freight boxes are OK for the money but you gotta get them on sale. US General > Yukon. Icon boxes I don't feel are worth it over others on the market (at that level we're talking used SnapOn boxes).

Milwaukee are good but you have to be careful and read reviews. Some of them had bad locking mechanisms and other misc little things that plagued them early on. I haven't followed lately.

Personally when I pull the trigger I'm getting a Husky 72" Heavy Duty box. They aren't perfect either but for what I want they fit the price/quality/functionality compromise well. Only their "heavy duty" boxes are worth a damn due to thicker sheet metal, others are shite.

Funny enough I've looked closely at that one.

It's interesting when looking into tool boxes. It seems like there's either the lower-end stuff for DIYers or hobbyists at big box stores, or the high end tool truck stuff. Very little in between, like what Sears Craftsman used to be (or so I'm told).

My HF box is every bit as good as the 40 yo Craftsman that it replaced. Didn't feel the need for Snap-On pricing.

Even when I raced, that Craftsman was all I needed when wrenching on the race car 8 of the 11 nights between races.

All I am going to say about Tool Boxes and Roll Around Chests is, Before you Buy. Go Pull the Drawers on each Type of Box. And you are going to feel the Quality or Lack there Of. Some are Smooth and Some Aren't.

I started with a US General toolbox then I got my husky toolbox about 3 years ago or so. Got about $200 off because it was being replaced with a new model and it was the last one they had

There wouldn't be enough contrast to look good IMO. Plus the Silver Sky has more metal flake in it which will look odd against the more solid Cement.

Agreed. For the home gamer this is the most important thing. I still have the low end Craftsman roll away set I bought in H.S. All the drawers still move smoothly after all these years. The 90's era Kennedy tool box I have at work is another story. It doesn't have roller slides and some of the drawers really suck to open and close after 25 years of daily use. Only reason I haven't asked for a new one is I rarely use it nowadays.

At home I have been thinking of upgrading mainly because everything is spread out in 3 different boxes. I definitely could use one nice large rollaway set. Also it's on the back burner as I don't have an urgent need.

Who needs nice rails and bearings for smooth drawer opening and closing when you can just slap some cheap metal on it that’ll rust together and make you hate your existence every time you need a tool?!
