? What do you mean? Now that the oldest is out of the house you have less food to buy unless utility bills. Sounds to me like it's the perfect time for upgrades.

    Ha…
We’ve been through this before. They always come home on breaks. They always need things sent to them. They always need a slight loan (lol) for a emergency that pops up. It’s also jumping in a plane with the entire family to visit them on campus!

I'm hoping at that point I no longer know who I am and always forget to put on pants before going in public.

I want to get rock sliders of some sort, and thinking of a lift, but I also was thinking of getting dual exhaust. Do you have any opinion on pedal commander or sprint boost? I do love the way the truck drivers but it is a bit sluggish uphill. Torn on thr pro grille. Maybe more lights as well. So many options :)

    Very open to suggestions

I wouldn't spend money on exhaust, unless you're just interested in the aesthetics. Or, noise.

There are plenty of opinions around here about lift. Your driving style will determine the best option there.

The pedal commander and Sprint booster both seem to get a lot of good reviews. As long as you understand that it doesn't actually add any power, but rather makes the pedal more sensitive to your input, you will be very happy with either one. There are also a couple of off-brand ones that seem to work fine. But, I might stick to one of the more well-known brands just because it seems like they might be less likely to throw a check engine light.

As far as lights, there are several different types of lights you can add, and the price range is all over the place. I recommend Rigid, Baja Designs, and Diode Dynamics. Spend a little more money up front, and you won't regret it. I have Rigid D-SS ditch lights and a 20-inch SR light bar in my bumper, and love both of them.

Edit:. Also, check out 4x innovations for sliders. They are local. There are a lot of other options as well.

You can't fool me, thats like 8 pictures of the same guy at different stages of aging. Totally zero stereotypes about how us Taco owners look lol!

(PS I'm not being a hater just having a laugh. I probably fit somewhere on this spectrum. Oh shit are we all clones from some experiment?)

Skip the pedal commander and Sprint booster. They're kind of just hacks. If you want to get actual performance out of your vehicle, you're going to want a tune from one of our tuners. People like @Shellshock

As far as lights go, there are a million options. But I will say this... Dollar for dollar, some brands absolutely smoke others as far as light output color pattern etc.

As far as suspension there are also a million options, again your driving style determines what's really going to work the best for you here.

I have a weird issue with the 4Runner. I'm curious if anyone here has heard of anything similar before.

Saturday, after the trails, I could not lock or unlock the 4runner with the key fob. Also, if I would push the lock button on the inside of the door, it would instantly unlock as if the key were in the ignition. But, I was able to lock it with the key.

Then, Sunday morning it worked like normal. Sunday, after some more fun, it was acting up again. Then, yesterday after work it unlocked with the fob. I drove it around a little bit, and when I got back I had to lock it with the key again.

So, it seems like it is related to heat or something. Could this be a bad ignition switch? Or, has anyone else had this issue and figured out what was causing it? I found a thread on the 4Runner forum where it sounded like the OP had the same symptoms as mine, but there was no resolution posted. I figured they share enough hardware that maybe somebody here would have an idea.
