I have lost another mud flap on my 05 double cab. I'll be damned id I'm gonna pay close to $100 for a single flap. What are your thoughts on going without flaps. I mainly do street and highway driving. I will very occasionally drive on gravel roads. I don't do any off-roading.

    All thoughts are appreciated.

Mine kept breaking so I pulled them off too. You probably will have some spots where the mudflaps rubbed the paint off the fenders too.

Both of my front ones broke and I just took the back one off instead of buying new ones. Not worth the money and plus you can throw some killer rooster tails.

    Take them off.

It gives your truck a better stance as well.
    Makes it look higher.

I kind of thought that that would be the consensus. It is the rear left flap I need. Walt, if you're interested in taking yours off perhaps we can woek something out?

As long as there is no existing damage to the paint from them rubbing, as Ghost96Romeo suggested, them suckers are coming off. If you want, PM me and we can work it out. As long as it doesn't cost me anything to get them to you there yours.

They also have 4x4 on them. If that matters.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
In AZ, you're required to have rear mudflaps on (there's even a max distance they can be above the ground).

You are required to have them in CA also, but only if your truck is a certain height or if your wheels stick out further than your wheel wells (im unsure of the exact info)

Thanks Walt. I will IM you. Are the flaps easy to take off? Do you have to remove the tires? I am assuming that one puts the plugs, screws back in when done removing them right?

This thread has come up before. There have been a few suggestions as well.. one I'm planning to do the next one I break. That suggestion is to remove them and then Line-X the rockers to protect them. Someone has a pic round here somewhere where that was done and it looks pretty cool.
