While my first light is baking in the oven as I am writing this, I decided to drop a line that I am beginning my Retro right now! TRS package should be here tomorrow afternoon, so i figured I would seperate them tonight and get the bowls ready for painting in the A.M.. Wish me luck.....I have begun (no turning back now)!

 

go get 'em! it's really not that bad once you're started. it's that preheating the oven thing and you start to think about what you're about to do that's tricky haha!

 

I am going to be the first to admit that I will be on here tomorrow night asking tons of questions.

 

OK! Lights are both apart and semi prep'd for paint. No problems. On a side note: after you heat the oven and bake a light, don't forget to take out the cardboard when you turn the oven on again. Cardboard does NOT smell as good cooking in the oven as let's say, a cake, or brownies, or pizza or a turkey even! It smells like you are cooking a piece of shit....lol. (Lesson learned #1).

Kit got here today. Got everything painted, should have pictures up tonight.

 

The guy in brown left me a nice little package on the front step today. Fun will be had tonight while that gut wrenching nervousness will be in the pit of my stomach the entire time.......

 

Got my kit and started it today. Ran into a problem with the adaptor plate on my 2012 and am waiting for someone to respond to help me out!

 

i am still searching for the retrofit how to.....anyone know where i can find that?

 

Update: 1 Down, the other is in the oven. 1 little catch with the plate, had to grind down a little to get it level; but no problem for the dremel. I'll try to get some pics up soon. Decided to black out everything, looks killer!

 

Finally 1 light finished and on the truck but not wired. This is a PITA!!!!!
