Can the OP update the list! Asianants forgot to update my s/n & order and maybe some others so that probably why it's still sitting at 14. ;)

Updated...Let's say we give OP to respond till after Christmas?

If not, I can take over after that. At least we give him some fair time to respond and what not. Last I heard from him, he was busy with school/final. So with that being said let's continue to make this list grow and hope he comes back soon.

Since I've been in contact with TRS for the past few days, I went ahead and asked them: "Does the Blazer Fog Retro kit Stage III alone count as a spot taker on the GB? or for example if someone got the full FX-R stage 3 kit and the Blazer stage 3 kit, does that count as 1 spot on the GB or 2?"

Just finished installing my Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (D2S) from the last group buy...in all honesty if I could do it again I would go with the FXR's...the Mini kit has been more of a pain to get lined up then the FXR's would be in my opinion and probably has more light output.

For anyone getting the Mini's do not expect the alignment to be perfect...the alignment is about 15' off and will require cutting...and if I'm cutting a little I may as well have cut alot. Not very happy...it looks good on the outside but I wanted a quick install not having to fool around.

Here's a pic of the install though...looks good with the BHLM on the 2012's and gatling shrouds!

I know you need to remove all the stuff on the back of the light, like the screws and bulb connections and such, what about the piece of rubber on the top that closes the gap with the hood (the piece that is about 10" long and looks like a fin).

I haven't cut anything yet...I may be able to make a different adapter plate to fix the alignment issue...here's the idea:

    Untitled_7be4ac826cd19df6d23e27397fc23c74aa631835.jpg

On the left is what it came with...the one on the right is what it should be to get a completely horizontal alignment with no tilt.

He is getting a quantity of 2 FX-R stage 3 kits....so he takes up 2 spots on the GB.

In regards to the email, they have not responded. I'll post the reply as soon as i get one.

I'm doing this retro mod for the first time but confident I can pull it off.

From your pics, I could see the driver's side being a little off. Could it be that the D2S' were more difficult to align b/c the newer lights are more concave compared to the older lights?

Or are the FXR lights shorter than the D2S? Can you be more specific, this is all new to me.

When I retro'ed my 2011 lights I didn't take off the long black strip on the top of the headlights. Everything turned out fine, just make sure the oven's OFF when the lights are in there!

The way the Mini's work is there is supposed to be no cutting just basically a plug and play and only one way to horizontally align the projector as there is an adapter plate with a notch that aligns the projector when you tighten the nuts on the back.

Check out an install here for a better idea: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pdf/trs_tech/Morimoto_Mini_D2S_Retrofit.pdf

Here's a picture of my crapoff for a reference...this is how it is now until I have time to fix it...100% worse than OEM light output.

Only one way to go on...I'm the 3rd person with this issue that I know of on the 2012's...not sure if it makes a difference or if it's just a bad batch of adapter plates. Not happy either way.

    Did yo do,
    1.light bulb
    2.Ring
    3.rubber washer
    4.the cap

I had this issue with my first retro but it's because I didn't follow the steps above. Soon after I installed my bulb like this I got a way better, wider cut off. It looks like your been is too short.
