Maybe shop around more? They’re running $6 to $7 Canuck Pesos around here, depending on if single or multi-pack.

But yeah, I love my 5lb tank and adapter hose. Works way better in cold weather too, less freeze-up.

Yeah, I don't think those are meant to be refilled. I've always chucked them when they're empty.

i once saw a campsite dumpster full of those green canisters. full.

i used mine up, shot a hole into them with my .22 and put them in the recycle bin. that was that. no more. i spent $18 on an adaptor hose and run all my devices off a bigger 5lb bottle. stoves mostly. lanterns even. i know for a fact that a big 20lb bottle will run a Mr Buddy heater 9 hours on high. brrrr.

We have a propane station cost to us is $5.00 a gallon, was $4.60 for years. Kona, Hawaii. I just fill my 20lb tank a few days ago.

Very easy to fill those Coleman bottles, Yes there is some dangers, ( once and awhile the Coleman tank will leak or can explode.

Amason sells the propane re-fill adapters $8.99-$17 + ( prime)
I have been refilling my Coleman bottles for 30 years and going..

Secret is you must chill or semi-freeze the green bottle, hook to propane re-fill adapter, turn the 20 lb tank up-side down, turn the valve on, stop when you hear no noise. done.

Remember this is NOT safe , there is dangers to refill those green tanks. You can be injury or worst.
Best to buy from Walmarts! I am just letting you know how I do it. There is a risk every time!
