Does anybody have experience with a Wolfbox install in their Tacoma?

I currently have the Garmin dash cam, but this unit seems far more superior and feature rich. It seems that they were originally made for Jeep but have ability to work in other vehicles? I did a forum search but couldn’t find any info .

I’m specifically looking at the G900 with parking monitoring.

i have a G900 in mine, no complaints aside from their "oem bracket" being brittle.

So, can this still be used as a rear view mirror without the rear camera? I would want this for the dash cam option, but still want a normal mirror.

yes it's reflective enough when off that it works as a rear view mirror, although a little darker than a true mirror.
When my camper is off, i use it as a regular rearview mirror with no issues.

I have a G900. I actually created a harness for mine that utilizes the existing power mirror connector to run Acc power, always-on power, and ground. That way, I could utilize the parking mode without running any additional cables from my fuse box. I'm about to mount a Softopper on my bed and am working on creating a mount for my rear camera. Currently, I'm running it as just a normal mirror this is also recording. As a regular mirror, it works fantastic.

Did you ever find a solution for the soft topper? I ordered the 3rd break light and will most likely be trying to mount it somewhere around that or possibly the license plate?

It does. I found it easier to just hardwire it though. That dongar module is bulky and you can just hide all the wiring in the headliner.

Great good to know, currently looking for a replacement dash cam. My garmin mini 2 is done and called customer service but it’s past its warranty so they offered me 20% for the replacement. Might try this wolfbox out. So the g900 is the one I should look into?

I actually grabbed the G900 Pro, ha. Has all the same bells and whistles as the G900 but it also has voice controls and wifi. So you can download pics or videos over the air. Woflbox is having a 25% off Black Friday sale too and it comes with a free wiring kit. (No affiliation - just sharing info.)

Sorry, I didn't. I ended up switching my stopper out for a Kuat Ibex bed rack and just mounted it underneath the rearmost crossbar.
