    I like the idea of being able to adjust/pivot the mirror. I understand the Wolfbox has swiping up/down/left/right capabilities but to your point: I’d like to angle the unit in such a way that caters to my positioning in the driver’s seat.

    I finally installed my wolfbox G930 using biggestchungas's mount and I've been using it for about a week. Here is my experience with it. The installation was easy. I mounted the rear camera on top of my canopy and ran the cable into the cab. I had to order a longer 33' cable because the cable that came with the wolfbox was a couple feet too short. I want to be able to remove my canopy without taking everything apart, so I routed the cable thru the canopy roof, into the backside of the left taillight, under the bed, up thru the floor grommet, and under the carpet to the A pillar. The cable can be separated a couple feet from the camera. I also wrapped the cable under the truck in spilt wire tubing and secured it with zip ties. The wolfbox display attached perfectly to the biggestchungas's bracket. I had a small issue attaching the arm to the roof mount. The problem was with the square notch in the arm that I had painted over. I had to scrape off the paint inside the notch because the square nut was not seating fully.IMG_1887.jpg IMG_1886.jpg IMG_1887.jpg
    The positives: The best thing about the wolfbox is the clear wide-angle view when driving in the daytime. I think mounting the rear camera up high is the best place to put it. No more peering down a tunnel thru two layers of tinted glass! That's the main reason I wanted to try a wolfbox and why I'm fairly happy with my purchase. The unit doesn't interfere too badly with my visors but I run it with the front camera not extended because it's tight and I don't want to make it any tighter. The less fiddling you do with the angle of the display the better. Plus, the front camera swivels allowing you to compensate somewhat for having the unit angled towards you.
    The negatives: Number one is the brightness of the display when driving at night. I have it dimmed all the way, and I still thinks its a bit too bright for night driving. I wouldn't recommend mounting the camera at bumper level because car headlights would probably just fill the display with white glare. The white light is still a problem for me but I have pretty sensitive eyes. Lately, when driving at night I have started scrolling the display down so that I don't see glare until the car behind me is very close. I realize that doing that limits my ability to see what's behind me. Number two is that the wolfbox shacks a lot and I mean with normal on road driving. I haven't tried it off road but I would think that the shacking would render the unit worthless. From what I can tell its not because you can't screw the ball joint down tight enough. I have the everything cranked down securely so wolfbox won't shift unless you knock it by hand. The arm is also solidly connected to the roof. In one of my pics you can see a small piece of foam I stuffed above the arm and the roof in an attempt to reduce the shaking. It didn't do squat. Possibly, the arm or the mounting bracket (or both) need to be a little beefier. @biggestchungas, If you want to try making a beefier version I'd be very happy to test it out for you.

    Do you know if you got the "upgraded WDR camera"? They claim it adjusts better at night to reduce glare and brightness. I think I got the upgraded camera with mine but I dont know if it was just a selling gimmick or actually works.
    Maybe something to look into.

    Great write up! I had issues with shaking too when I was prototyping it. Between the snap in ball and the locking ball, the neck on the ball of the locking version is slightly skinnier. It is possible this is causing more vibrations. @foothill96tacoma has both maybe he has noticed a difference. I think my next design will be a solid no ball mount and I will beef it up as much as possible. I would also like to try out different resin types. You guys will have to help me with this, but I have a hunch that we can find a set angle that will work for all of us.

    To be honest, the locking ball is kind of a pain. If you knock the display or adjust the angle you have to crank it down again which is kinda annoying. I also found that because it's a display and not a reflection, the angle that its at isn't that important for viewing. I played around with which angle was best for minimizing visor contact and noticed that you could view the display pretty well in most positions, including not angled towards the driver, or pointed straight back.

    @biggestchungas, Here's a suggestion for if you decide to make a solid mount. Figure out the max angle the front camera swivels to compensate for tilting the display towards the driver. Then incorporate that angle into the arm for tilting the display towards the driver. That way the front camera is pointing straight down the road (when fully swiveled over) and the display is slightly angled towards the driver.

    Did anyone ever get back to @biggestchungus about the 12" tripro? I'm considering a custom bracket or gluing the "oem" metal base to my windshield. That way I could have the wolfbox sit lower and still clear my visors!

    I still do not have dimensions for this. I am working with @Cody3395 to get them but it may take some time. As a note whatever I make will definitely not allow a 12" one to clear the visors. I estimate it would probably have to sit 6-8" down from the top of your windshield to clear them. Personalty I feel like this would obstruct my line of sight too much.
