Sorry folks, back to topic. OP, I think it is not that women can't drive big truck/SUV but when you are behind the wheel and talking on the phone at the same time, that's when you get in trouble (men or women and the degree of alertness varies). I know I do that sometimes and have been lucky to not hit anyone and I don't answer my cell phone now unless I feel it is necessary. Glad nothing serious happen to you.

People are just down-right STUPID when they drive.

And when you throw cell phones, maps, writing checks, doing fingernails, reading a book/magazine, make-up, eating, shave, fix your hair...yadda yadda yadda......it makes the situation even worse.

Look around you while you'e driving - you'll be absolutely AMAZED at how many people are talking on the phone.

When I met my wife, she was driving a 99' Dodge 2500 Diesel 5 speed manual. I would put money on her against any man alive (including myself) when it comes to the safe operation of that truck. Not to mention she is awesome at backing up a horse trailer! She will tell you, I like to hear the turbo!
    Country Girls= Big Trucks!
    City Girls= Trouble for all!!

    Glas you are okay!

exactly, it is not a gender issue but more like how well one can really multi-tasks while driving?

I find that when I drive mjp2's F250 I pay attention MORE because it's just so much truck. When I'm in my car, I'm a little more relaxed.

An escalade is a small rig up here where I drive. Try dealing with a 5'2" 100 pound chick driving a F-250 or 350 with a 10" lift and huge mud tires. Oh and don't forget the texting while driving! The term defensive driving takes on a whole new meaning when you have to share the road with moster trucks being driven by a chick who doesn't weight as much as the tire she's ridin' on!

All I have to say is I've ridden with more women drivers that don't pay attention than male drivers.

I agree with everyone else here, women should not be allowed to drive.

Yeah....Tons of bad drivers in general...Large concentration of them in Miami. I drove a Dodge Dakota 5.2L in Miami...and I was scared to go out cause I was fine with how I drive...but most everyone else scared the shit outta me...

Sorry about your X-I hope you flipped out on her...I would have!!

I'm blaming MEN for 99.9% of the unplanned pregnancies in the world.

Men shouldn't be allowed to have sex. :D
