I was looking around Monroes website and noticed that the 1st gen Tundra front struts seems very similar to 2nd gen 5 lug Tacos.

    Tundra struts:

Body Type: SS2, Body Length: 13.120", Compressed Length: 13.620", Extended Length: 17.930", Travel Length: 4.310",
    5 lug Taco struts:
Body Type: SS2, Body Length: 11.496", Compressed Length: 12.519", Extended Length: 16.437", Travel Length: 3.918",
The advantage would be about 1 - 1.5 inch lift. The extra bracket on the Taco strut is to mount the brake line, which could be easily relocated.

I took some measurements of my truck and the 5 lug springs are tapered where as the tundra springs are not. Unsure of the the length of tundra springs, but the 5 lugs are about 8". It could be an issue with tundra springs hitting the upper control arm on our trucks. Anyone know the measurements of the Tundra springs? Perhaps the Tundra 5100 bilstiens and springs would work with Total Chaos UCAs. That would be a significant cost savings over Sway A Way coilovers.

Yeah, the 1st gen 6 lug Taco and 1st gen Tundra struts are only about half inch different. 2nd gen 6 lugs are quite a bit longer.

The 2nd gen 6 lug Taco uses a special "top hat" style mount, but the 5 lug and 1st gen Tundra both have a flat top mount that looks the same.

Yeah, after looking at the stock uca i can see where it would hit, but I'm curious if it would clear the Total Chaos uca seeing how they clear those beefy Sway A Way 2.5 coilovers.

What's the advantage of using Tundra 5100's on a 1st Gen? Stiffer? If the top plate is different, I assume Taco coils and top plates are used? Approximate lift of the settings?
