Hey, I'm still pretty noob-ish (to trucks in general), so forgive me if this is common sense knowledge. Also, I did try searching, but didn't find an answer. That said, if you'd like to answer my question by linking me to another thread, please do.

Here's my issue: I'm saving for my lift/tire upgrade and wanted to check my ride height so get a sense of how much lift I'll need front vs. rear. Parked on a flat surface and measured from the ground to the bottom of the fender, aligned with the center of the wheel hub. I found that my front right and left were pretty close to each other, though not exact (at about 34 and 3/4 inches). However, my rear right and left were an inch different (left at 37", right at 38"). I should mention that it's an access cab, non-TRD, with the TSB springs added, and a canopy on. I reparked and remeasured a couple of times but always the same result. Why would this happen? Knowing that the truck is not symmetrically built, and the fuel tank is on the left, made me think that might be the reason. But then again, I only had a quarter tank...

Now here's the strange part: I got home and parked in my sloped driveway (nose uphill) and, out of curiosity, measured again. This time the left was an inch higher than the right. Opposite of before. Any ideas on what's going on here???

    Thanks.

Tacoma Lean maybe? I would do a search on it. Good luck!

Thanks. I thought the infamous lean referred to the factory rake, but maybe I'm mixed up on that. I can understand a left lean with a full tank, but 1/4 tank? I'll have to measure again on empty and at full for comparison.

Still really unsure why the difference flipped when I parked on a slope...

No no no. You're thinking of the leader of a German midget clown gang with too much carotene.
