I have a 2009 and recently had issues starting my truck. No reaction when I turn the key except for maybe a slight click at the end? Lights turn on but no engine. Works after I crank it again? Figure it has something to do with the starter but wondered if anyone here experienced the same?

Sounds like it could be the starter, among other things. Get under the truck and take a look at the starter while you have a buddy turn the key.

    Check the battery voltage.
Check and clean the battery connections.
How old is the battery? It could be going bad.
If the above is OK, go to Autozone and get the battery load tested.

It could also be the starter solenoid, but is normally the above.

    Too few to list.
Easy fix. Glad it worked out. Always check the battery first. It's the easiest.

I had this same problem, glad you got it sorted but if it comes back it's probably the solenoid contacts as stated above. There's some good write ups on how to replace them if that's the case, it's cheap, just annoying.

This happened to me recently...turned the key and nothing...turned again started right up. Happened later and had to jump myself to get it to start and all the lights were flickering the whole time i drove, it was the strangest thing. Had a year old battery and it turned out to be a faulty cell in the battery...who knew.

Happened to me again. I took it back to the shop and had the starter, alternator and battery checked. All tested okay. They said I could have an issue with the ignition switch? Just have to cross my fingers every time I crank it looks like. If I get more problems I might just take it to Toyota.
