Well my dad is an ase certified mechanic, has been for 20 years. Never considered someone putting sugar in my gas tank, he even had another mechanic come by and they ran down the problem.

Getting to start all over :)
Unfortunately since you have already ran the sugar through the system you just have to open everything up and try to clean everything. Or just tow it to mechanic, you probably don't want that bill. Who would do that shit?

The 1 micron filter in the inlet to the injectors is probably plugged up.

Now. How did you know there was sugar in the tank?

Who did you piss off or was it a random act of vandalism.

    Insurance?

We ran into this type of vandalism a couple of times at the shop, EVERY fuel system component will need to be replaced, sounds like you have done that except for the injectors, but i would flush the fuel lines as well, you don't want any hint of contaminated fuel left in the system.

Sugar and Gas are HC's (hydrocarbon molecules) and 2 HC's don't mix. You probably found something that looked like rock candy on the tips of the injectors when you pulled them.

Battery should also be disconnected after a throttle body cleaning . ECM needs to relearn the new idle position

Put new injectors in last night, still starts and dies, gonna try the fuel pressure regulator today, thats the last fuel related item to change. What's the micron filter you spoke of, is it at the end of the fuel rail held in by what looks like an A clip or something like that? I noticed it last night while changing injectors and thought about it. If you pump the gas enough it will start and idle for about 5 to 10 seconds.

Dang, that sucks. Glad I went with a locking cap when it was time to replace the OEM cap. Of course, someone wanting to throw sugar in the gas, will bring a pry bar but its better than nothing. Hope you get if fixed.

The 1 micron filter is part of the fuel injector. It is pressed into the inlet of the injector.
