Wont turn over after command start

Hey. First time poster... Maybe this has been posted before.

Having an issue last couple years with my truck not turning over AFTER it has already just been started with command start. I did just buy a new higher cold cranking battery last year, so I don't think its that. The electrical seems fine besides this issue.

My command start is I think factory oem one. The truck will start fine with the remote command start fob. When I get in and press the brake the engine shuts off. Then I go to press start it again and it just clicks for 10 seconds (wont turn over). This happened 3 times last night, 3rd time it struggled mightily to start up, finally did. The year before I had this same issue.

Now I'm not sure what goes on with command start vs a regular start, but seems like somethings not getting enough power somehow upon a hard start. I think in my safety paperwork when I bought the truck, it said that the starter had an issue and it was fixed/replaced. Is this a sign of a bad starter/ alternator or ????. What should I look into for this issue? Thnx in advance - Brett

 

Battery.

 

You aren’t giving the battery enough time to recharge between starts and it’s probably weak on its way out.

 

The command start is not factory oem. They did not have that in 17. Remote start wasn't available till 2020.
