Going on 4 weeks now and still have not hit 1K on the clock. So here is a little feedback from a guy that never owned a pimp up truck and just drove Euro Sports Cars.:D

    Likes

Love the look of the Truck specially in black !!

Layout of the interior is very nice/good/simple and all the buttons and sticks are easy to reach the dashboard is very easy too keep clean (compare to a 2017 Mini Cooper) since it has a lot of straight lines.

A/C works very well here in AZ and for the size of the Cabin.

Factory Height of the Truck is perfect for my needs what I am using it for and I get still a good view to do a Bra or No Bra Check in the car next to me

Factory Radio /Navi/Commands are very user friendly for an old fart like me to use sure if you a Google Head living in Semi Valley you want more gadgets and buttons.:D:D

The looks of the matte black factory wheels are not bad at all.

Driving position is good very view blind spots

Size of the side view mirrors are big enough if you adjust them right.

Truck handles very well for a Stock Set Up

    Dislikes :(

The position of the cruise control is a bloody joke. I can,t count how many times I switched they wipers on going down the road at night. Can,t understand why you could not integrate this function into the steering wheel

LDA the beeping drives me crazy it beeps when there is nothing next to me and does not beep when somebody is next to me ( have not found any info in the owners manual yet to switch it off but keep the front radar going while cruise is set or to turn the volume for the LDA off)

Chrome wheel lock nuts from the factory when the truck has black rims why??

The ride is a bit too much like a Caddy from 1970 with them Firestone Tires I would prefer a stiffer ride from the factory without spending the extra $$ on suspension improvements or a TRD since I don,t need a 4x4

Steering Wheel adjustment needs to be improved it,s a joke:mad:

Firestone 16" factory tires are a bit too girly looking for me a wider tire from the factory would be perfect.

So overall beside the few dislikes that could be improved I have no regrets that I bought a Tacoma.

Well that sums it pretty much up for the moment.:)

PS If i can think of anything else down the road as far as likes/dislikes I will add to the post also feel free to put your 2 Cents in on likes and dislikes and if you made any improvements on the y "don,t likes" on your truck. Cheers.:cookiemonster:

On your steering wheel, push the button that looks like a car driving over a line. This will turn off that beep. Also, the LDA (lane departure) will not inform you of people next to you, it just lets you know you crossed over one of the white or yellow lines. If you have your turn signal on, the beep will not sound. The system is just designed to keep you in your own lane while driving.

You’re confusing Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) with the Lane Departure Alarm (LDA). LDA alerts you when you drift over the lines, BSM lets you know if someone is coming up behind or alongside. Both are easy to turn on/off.

That's a fairly common location for a cruise control switch.

are you recommended to get first oil change at 1k miles?
after I got the first 1k miles, keeping the speed under 65mph IIRC during that initial stretch, and then getting all new Toyota oil in at dealer in Alton IL
i was set to go :D
