Not for me, but pretty impressed that it's actual beautifully finished premium wood and not some cheesy plastic made to look like wood.
I would be concerned about adhesion over the long haul and what a mess your dash will be if ever taken off.
But all in all, looks pretty good.

Is that a yellow dash pad? If so, that's ugly IMO.

Legitimate question and not bashing. Why would fake wood made of plastic look better than what was already there? I have seen those kits and they usually look like poorly fitting covers that were not there originally then half of them fall off a few months later when you cycle through seasons. I assume that is probably what everyone else is thinking as well. If your kit is better than the others out there, can you post some detailed pictures?

The Sherwood kits at least are real wood laminated. I put a teak kit in my 2000 back in ......'06 maybe. Just now this year failing. I'm sure it would be a mess to get rid of. Easier to get diff. dash pieces and swap. Most parts still good but dash in middle gets lots of sun. Wish the carpeted dash cover covered more. ha.

This reminds me of the old school square body chevy trucks from the late 70s. Those dashboards were like acres of wood. I kinda dig the retro vibe. Kudos for being different wishing you many happy miles!

That was the Custom 'Coach' editions that had wood consoles and such. Suburbans had a laminated kit I believe.

Man I'm not a fan of this particular kit, but I do wish the Tacoma wasn't so barebones sometimes. Especially owning a 2nd gen. The plastic interior feels like it's a cheap car from the early 2000's and my truck is a fully loaded 2012 TRD Sport. Sorry guys but the new 3rd gens aren't that much more impressive- still pretty plasticy.

I wish these trucks were more like the first gen tundras. My uncle has a 2003 tundra limited and that thing has beautiful leather seats and trim- wood around the dash. Come on toyota

That's it, double down, so much more satisfying than restraint or silence out of respect. Because derping is the cool thing this week didn'tcha know?

Yes, it is a carpeted dash cover, and not yellow. I admit that it doesn't look great, but at the time, i was just so desperate to get some COLOR into the interior of the cab, that I actually thought it was a good idea!

OK, good question. The thing was, the whole dang interior is BLACK, including the headliner! It is SO DARK! I was just trying to brighten up the interior a little, and came across this dash kit. The more I looked at it, I liked it. So I did the video, and I still like it! And yes, as someone else also said, it IS real wood and not laminate. It was done with a laser, which is why it takes them so long to make each order. And there are 81 pieces in my kit, and each one fit perfectly. The adhesion is quite good, and should last, although they also suggest using a 3M Primer 94 if the surface was not properly prepared ahead of time, like mine was.

I like wood trim on some vehicles, but I dont like that much wood trim. I wouldve left some pieces off if I was going to do that.

Nonetheless, it does take me back to 2003!

So true. Op enjoy your wood trim. It would be great if a mate version is offered... i like the look of the mate or satin finished wood trim.. not big fan of super glossy finish.. in my opinion it makes it look like fake plastic...

I am a marine woodworker so I’m always thinking about adding something related to wood to my truck... for now just this I installed this:

    733EE53E-090B-4946-A27B-46A12E71BC2D.jpg

A side view sticker of a hand plane.

    No wood trim for me...

Not my thing but like the other said, takes me back. Although it’s more of a 90s thing.

Might not be horrible on the right limited.

Nice work!! Not really as JC Whitney as when dudes put white letters out on an all gray/black truck. That looks like ass to me.

I like it but I would have only done about 10 pieces. I like the center dash, door trim around the power switches, a little on the console and a darker wood or maybe a grey wood look finish or even a carbon fiber finish. Thanks for sharing, enjoy it.

If you're interested a member makes some nice solid wood shift knobs in various wood species. I made a burl one for mine and am considering making a few other pieces for the door control panels and a couple lower console panels but it's pretty intensive custom work. For now the console pieces are just abs. I definitely prefer the feel over the oem plastic knob.

Yes, if you go to their website you will find it's real wood and premium furniture grade (Rosewood, Cherry, Ebony, Zebra Wood) at that, not plastic or pine.
