Got the kit today. Man, Im glad I decided to go this route instead of all spray cans all the time. Ill keep the cans for use with the little 360 wand to get in the doors, but other than that, this kit with the gun, quarts, and extension wands is going to make this a much easier job. Waiting til mid week when its going to be in the high 60s. Thanks for the heads up on the various kits from WW. Saving me a great deal of $$$ and time. :D

No fluid flim is more environmentally friendly. I'd recommend a tarp for the solvent based inhibiters. You really don't want that stuff on the ground. Oil is bad enough.

dd light bars, trd cat back exhaust, KDMax tuned, trd skid plate, 2" lift, sema wheels toyo open country at3 tires.
cans are great for bottoms of doors, the hood, and tailgate, hinges (especially the fuel door), door checks, battery terminals, etc... having both, with the kit and cans, is THE way to go! good on you. Ski

Just a surface thing. No need to soak it as we only get hit a couple times per year.

Are you just shooting the fenders & firewall in the engine bay? And cans or compressor/gun?

My general rule is if its metal and can rust it gets sprayed, with few exceptions like exhaust and brake discs. I use a woolwax sprayer.

Ok, done today. That was easy. About 2 hours total. The gun makes it a piece o cake. Im glad I went that route with the gun as well as woolwax over FF cans.
I noticed the FF cans definitely drip alot more. The WW doesnt drip at all.
I used a couple FF cans in the doors, rockers, and a little in the tailgate with the wand. I didnt much like the wand as it worked but I got alot of drippage up by the nozzle. Its ok, but not great.
Once I moved on to the sprayer, it was like night and day. Just blasted quickly and easily. Extensions with the gun worked flawlessly.
I dont know how some do the whole thing with cans. Do what you gotta do, but that would have drove me nuts.
Not messy at all either. Didnt put down any tarps or anything. My clothes were pretty much clean afterwards.
Sure I can get it done in close to an hour next time.
Sorry, no pics. Just gonna have to take my word for it and you all know what it looks like by now anyways.

I just did my Taco last night for the first time and went pretty ham on it. Only used a pint as predicted. I did not do inside the rockers or doors as we do not get a lot of snow here, but the underside was seeing some effects of the DoT stupid salt use.

This is good because it means that I have plenty of WW to share with friends. Pretty fun to do and smells really good this morning.

    Great to hear.

I agree that it was easy, sorta fun, and not messy at all, other than my windshield. Aersolled droplets got the whole way up there. Haha!

I coated the frame and suspension with 6 cans of CRC Marine last week. The CRC nozzle has a nice wide spray pattern, but can't accept a straw. However, the Fluid Film nozzle fits on the can, so I use that with a straw for inside the frame.

I agree, I feel like I did quite a bit as they blast the roads with salt here. I still only used about 1.5 quarts on the underside and 2 cans in the doors, etc. Have plenty left over from the gallon I got.
And yes, having the gun and using WW actually makes it kind of fun (instead of being a messy, stinky chore with FF cans).

Yeah. The gun was excellent and well controlled.
