i think i would actually run if it had good gas in it, but my buddy tried to drive it home with the cracked radiator and the motor overheated a bit and we believe the head gasket is blown. it also needs a timing belt, and i'm sure there are a few other odds and ends- it has a few more miles than i thought @ 205k but the body and everything is in pretty decent shape. not sure EXACTLY what i'm going to do with it yet but post running plan is lots of protection so skids, bumpers, sliders, possibly a cage... and new suspension. after that i'll just have to do some wheelin to see where i want to take it from there. i have some friends that do fab work so maybe use as a test truck for some experiments?

not yet, i have an accepted offer on a house so the truck project might have to wait, but if i get that 8k tax credit then build can start. i'm getting the home inspection done on Monday so i hope things will happen in a timely manor so i'm hoping to close by halloween.

thats pretty much the plan, but i do want to get lots of protection (skids, bumpers, maybe sliders) and get some new shocks because i'm sure the ones on it now are long gone. then after driving it for a while- i'll figure out where to go from there. but i have a nice list of things to get since serious offroading requires the right tools and equipment and i'm gonna need to get some and learn how to use them ;)

i just downloaded land rover's video about when they sponsored the camel trophy back in 80s and 90s... anyone seen it? it's pretty cool so far
