So, one of my strategies is if I get a yellow letter that is likely to be a double, or I don't know where in the word it goes, I'll throw it in for a double.

For example if I got a yellow E at the end of the word, I'd go with "BEGET" to put it in two places to try to find where it goes. Or TEETH if I had a yellow T, or something like that.

I got it in 5 today so that strategy clearly didn't work for me today, BUT, I've gotten pretty good results from doing that before.

I tend to shy away from doubles when I can, I'd rather exhaust as many options in as many likely spots as I can. Went with steed 3rd and it paid dividends (today anyway lol)

The yellow letters often form a common ending. So I went with it and took a best guess.

I put the yellow letter in the same spot by mistake.

 

Did it yesterday, I didn't even know your second guess was a word?

 

Did the same in Quordle today, happens. I think there's a "hard mode" setting where it will actually stop you from doing such a thing.

It wouldn't let me submit that, since the R was repeated yellow. Also it wouldn't let me submit "READY" since I didn't use the I. Once you know something about the word, you have to use it.





Forget where I've seen that. Thought it was wordle. Oh well.

 

I dunno then. I don't think I use it.
