Two banger today. Trying to work my way out of a hole in the league. I missed three days. Just trying not to finish last.

 

I’m still using RENTS. I try to get C & L in my second word. For me I find that works pretty well, although I do have trouble with vowel-heavy words.

 

I use whatever word I feel like. Don't have a starter.

today, and I though I was sitting pretty with a 3 from what could have been a hard word, I just don’t understand how so many of you all go from only yellow to the word in 2?!!! I mean even when the words have like 8 different possibilities there are folks getting it in 2/3???

I just don’t get it.

 

It's nothing more than luck. The only game I lost had 9 possibilities. Did I lose because I don't know what I'm doing? No, I understood that there were 9 possibilities and I guessed the wrong ones. That doesn't make me bad. Could've guessed the right one in 3 but just luck. My average is pretty much right at 4. First word's a guess. Second one to suss it out more, third is usually the the word with the wrongly guessed letter, fourth is the right word. Or 5 and 6 if multiple options.

I had the word at the third guess but thought it was an slang/abbreviation, so I went with another possibility. Wrong! While it is slang of one word, it's also a whole word (different meaning than abbreviation meaning).

 

Got it in three, but it took me forever to find any word at all that worked for my third guess. Luckily it was the answer…
