That was interesting. I couldn't see a viable word with what I had left that worked with the green on the board. I tried a few that didn't look right and suspected they weren't words. No go. Finally figured it out.

I assume you had already used an S? There would have been a ton of options if it was still in play.

Yes. I try to use most of the vowels in the first two words, along with a mix of high use consonants with an odd one tossed in occasionally. If you ever watched wheel of fortune you know that RSTLNE are most used.

 

Those are the most used for phrases, but is that the case for 5 letter words? I do follow some of the same logic though, get the vowels and common letters asap.

 

You know, sometimes it works and other times not. I'd say it's not consistent, but I've tried using random words that just came to mind and it didn't get better. I don't think there's a magic formula. I like vowels because they are fewer, and how they are used can help figure out consonants.
