Man, I agree with you 100%. If I'm buying a name brand JDM wheel (and paying the JDM premium), I am expecting and assuming it's manufactured in Japan. While I'm sure the wheel is perfectly fine, still you want to get what you think you're paying for. My 4Runner is made in Japan, while my Taco is made in Mexico. Go figure. Don't even start me when I found out that my Kona Brewing beers were not brewed in Hawaii! If these were a lower price point, maybe around $300, then it would make more sense. Still on the fence on these wheels....

I've taken the liberty of emailing Work USA. Here is their response...

"WORK XTRAP S1HC 17x8.5 is a private label spec for Show Stoppers USA. Please contact them directly for assistance.
    Here is their website: https://www.showstoppersoffroad.com/
If you are referring to the WORK XTRAP S1HC model, that specific wheel model is manufactured in China in Low Pressure Cast.
WORK Wheels is a Japanese wheel company, but like many other manufacturers, they are not limited to production only in their country. The wheel meets the Japanese truck wheel standards (JWL-T & VIA standards), like any other wheel they test and release."

Almost pulled the trigger on these until I saw your post! Thanks for letting us TW members know!

So are the ones sold by Showstoppers US made in China or made in Japan?

I don’t know about you but if I found out my Rays wheels said made in China after I took delivery without the seller notifying me before taking payment I’d be pretty disappointed. In other words, would you buy a Rolex if they switch production from Switzerland to China?
