image.jpg I have been working on a 2004 prerunner. I have replaced the alternator which had a bad pulley only, but the truck has 235,000 miles on it, so I just replaced the original.
Changed all of the idler pulley’s and belts, except for the ac pulley. Everything was good. My son tells me now that the ac quit blowing cold. So I check it and compressor had locked up. So I got it EVAC’d and set about to replace the compressor and condenser and dryer. All good. No hitches. As I go to put the skid plate back on, I find the part (attached) laying out of my sight. Problem is I have no clue where it goes or it’s purpose. Sorta looks like it might support a hose? Any ideas?
