Alright so I've been going over several threads in this forum trying to gather/learn as much as I can on adding electrical accessories to my tacoma. I am definitely a novice when it comes to electrical wiring situations, but am rather good at following directions (my wife may disagree with that statement). I was able to wire up some raptor lights so I believe there is promise in my ability to figure this out.

Really I'm asking for someone to check my math and maybe answer a few questions I have when putting all this electrical knowledge to practice. Below I have pics of diagrams I was working on so I can lay it all out. There is probably too much detail in these but I'm really just trying to make sure I'm on the right track to not setting anything on fire or causing myself some electrical issues down the road. The pics show two lighting setups I'm working on (accent and rock lights) and most all the questions I have (in purple) are in the pic.

Any help/direction/encouragement would be greatly appreciated!! who knows maybe this helps someone else searching threads looking for some of the same information...

Some of the items I don't have on hand yet (still waiting on the MESO shift knob....along with Puddle lights, V5 turns, and all the other MESO related goodies that I keep missing out on:annoyed:) and I am still working on a way to build a clean fuse/relay box in the engine bay (which is why the bus bars, etc. are in the pic).

Thanks again and sorry for the long post!

    Starting at the top:
    Is a relay needed? Yes
Which fuse location to use? I think you’re referring to the add-a-fuse. Using the added fuse on that will be sufficient by itself, you will not need the inline one. You will still need it on th.e wire going to pin 30 on your relay though.
Can the add-a-fuse be combined with other switches? Yes
If so, what size fuse? I would stay small here. A 2A should be plenty, assuming you aren’t adding more that 8-10 switches. Also, keep in mind that add-a-fuses add amp load to the supply wire, so best to keep it small.
Which wire to tap into for illumination ground? Assuming it is near a factory switch, I believe the ground is tan. But I am not 100% sure at the moment.

sorry, I think I did just the purple ones. I’ll take a better look at it tomorrow and see what I can do for your set up

    Really appreciate the quick look!!

The biggest thing is making sure my wiring makes sense (I really wasn’t sure on the Meso shifter button)

The MESO Stealth switch is NOT a latching switch. It will not stay ON when released.

Does that mean it’s a momentary? I didn’t realize that bc the description says you could hook up a light bar... thanks for the heads up!
