    “Used to be nice…”
Um, when? Where I grew up couple hundred miles away used to be nice. But then the slime from NY/NJ oozed on in over and through like the plague and literally ruined the place. That happened 40 years ago outside of NY/NJ. I left a while ago. Best thing I ever did. Do it! It’ll change your quality of life dramatically to the positive and everything that goes with it! Now all I have to bitch about is wet snow. Lol

Spring & Fall Snow is NOT Fun. Just finished 90 minutes of semi cleaning driveway of 6" of wet heavy white crap. More than a 12" fell but it settled to 6". Wife said leave it. It will melt. Ya I don't want her sliding into garage even with her good winter tires. Used smaller electric snowblower cause I didn't have energy to dig out the big gas from behind stored summer car. Left about an inch of hard pack. Also did it cause it's supposed to snow again tomorrow and next day. No wonder Canadians are tough and polite. We don't have energy to argue.

I usually don't mind snow, it's the frigid sub zero temps we see in MN that I can't stand. But yes, spring snow sucks.

We got ~17" over 2 days where I'm at in MN a couple weeks ago. All wet and sticky. Before that we had nothing. I couldn't let 17" sit in the driveway, fiances car would never make it, so I had to plow. Even with shoes lowered it dug the shit outta the driveway since it was wet and we had zero frost to harden the ground. Now it has all melted and made a damn mud pit of my driveway. Finally got all the water pumped out yesterday.

It was nice having a warm winter with no snow, but I'm curious to see how it will affect things this spring and summer. Ticks were already out in Feb, died, then out again end of march, died, now coming back again. No mosquitos yet. I've read warm, no snow winters can cause big issues with moose and deer population.

No puppers landmines in the back yard tho, so thats nice.

My wife, my son and I all had yesterday off, we spent most of the day watching the snow and enjoying the thundering sound of snow sliding off our metal roof. Drove through the storm to do our weekly shopping trip, more employees at the store than customers. Got home, played around plowing, tunes cranked, wife made a Taco casserole.

Plowed again, dinked around on TW and we all watched Oppenheimer in the basement on the big screen. Couldn’t really ask for a better day.

I’m blessed to live here. We have lived in 5 different states, Dallas and Houston, and we’ve always done pretty good enjoying what each has to offer.

I’m glad this thread had some traction…made a great day even better.
