Being 1:1 on its weight:downforce is correct. Saying that it can drive upside down is not. Which once again has nothing to do with the thread though

Theoretically drive upside down is true .

The front and rear wings are essentially acting as airplane wings in reverse

What Im saying is at 81 mph it would be weightless. It would have to go a little faster than that and become greater than 1:1. I dont doubt that it could do it. Just needs to go a little faster

I think it all makes sense.

I classify the ZR1 as a supercar because it performs better than most "supercars" at the drag strip and on a road course.

You don't classify as a supercar because of the name, price and appearance which is subjective (definition of subjective is at the link below)...

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/subjective

Just to clarify. If McLaren decided to sell its MP4 for $50k then it would no longer be a supercar because it doesn't meet the price requirement?

After that, you and a couple others realized that you have no facts to back up your argument and began posting random stuff.

No. The link you posted from wikipedia says "However, the proper application of the term is subjective and disputed". Accept the fact that some people think your corvette is a supercar. Some people do not. It doesnt fit all of the descriptions, your not going to change my mind. Funny part is luring you into acting like a fool and repeating the same crap over and over. And look I can link definitions too

Calm down. Was just helping you out with the definition so you don't hurt yourself.

And I will ask again. So if McLaren decided to sell your beloved MP4 for $50k would you still consider it a supercar?

Here is some more of you talking out your ass which you seem pretty fond of doing, and I am the one acting like a fool? Okay:

If you read my post on this you will see that I said that a F1 car generates roughly a 1:1 ratio at 75-80mph. I then went on to say that at 85mph it would generate over 1300lbs of downforce which would be enough to drive inverted. And again, so you don't hurt yourself trying to figure out approximately how much downforce it would generate at 85mph, I have done it for you. It would be around 1450-1480lbs and the cars weigh around 1320lbs.

To which I said the RC51 would be a superbike, not a supercar. And you said:

Um, yes. The difference between a motorcycle and car would factor in to whether it is a supercar, or superbike.

This is where you clearly didn't know what you were talking about. If I keep having to teach you things, you might have to start paying me. I proved the ZR1 beat many of the current "supercars" on a track that had "turns added to it". Then you go on to make a statement about the McLaren MP4 that you have NO way to back up with any FACTS whatsoever.

Hahaha I just read this thread and had to laugh. But what I'm hearing is that the ZR1 is a much better car than the bugatti....

Mainly different. I would say in regards to engineering the ZR1 surpasses the Bugatti. The Bugatti has nearly double the horsepower of the ZR1 and definitely doesn't perform like it does. With less than $100k extra in the ZR1 it would dominate every field besides price.

    Price

    ZR1 - $110,000 - 120,000
    Bugatti - $1,700,000 - 2,400,000

    1/4 mile

    ZR1 (stock) - 10.8
    Bugatti Veyron - 10.0

    Top Speed

    ZR1 - 205mph
    Bugatti - 268mph

    Nurburgring

    ZR1 - 7:26
    Bugatti - 7:40

    Horsepower

    ZR1 - 638
    Bugatti - 1200

How exactly is the Vette stripped down? I wouldn't really call using carbon fiber and aluminum stripping something down. If it didn't have a radio or AC that would be stripping it down.

The Bugatti weighs that much because of bad engineering.

    Power to weight ratio

    ZR1 - 5.3lbs per 1hp
    Bugatti - 3.5lbs per 1hp

(the ZR1 would need 950hp to achieve the same ratio as the Bugatti)

It's okay. Most people that are wrong get angry.

So, I will ask you this question a third time. If McLaren decided to sell the MP4 for $50k would you still consider it a supercar?
