You take a sawzall / plasma / hacksaw to the exhaust where it turns down vertically and eliminate the part that pokes out under the bedside. If you drive over a big rock, it will push that tailpipe right up into your bedside and crush the bottom of it.

    basically like this:

Answer 1: Fire trails are basically chunky roads used by the forest service to fight fires (hence fire road). Usually given a 3 or 4 number name such as FR-056 or FR-2314. Some are basically gravel roads and some are surprisingly burly.

Answer 2: Not all of them. Some of them around here you just have to know from a guide or word of mouth...some have rankings like 1-5.

I am located in the flat plains of northern illinois. I hear and understand the capabilities of the truck are vast... and thats why I bought it. I just havent been off-roading, so I think the best thing to do is take it slow and feel it out. be comfortable with how the truck handles things... and not jump is 6ft. haha.

This makes total sense, and wonder why the exhaust wouldnt come stock like this with an OR package like the pro...

Had my 19 Pro off road with the dealer plates still on it (also did that with my brand new 2003 TJ Rubicon when it came out). Go take it off road and have fun. The stock 1/4" aluminum skid plate is great on the Pro but really my biggest hang up on the stock Pro was rear hitch. There are a bunch of "hitch skids" out there if you want to go that route but if you don't mind the hitch itself getting scraped up its probably not necessary.

I kind of look at the hitch as a rear "slider"... :muscleflexing:

Depends where you are. I know the USFS uses them in California, but I haven’t seen them used here in Washington.

    Essentially:
    • A green circle represents an easy trail, like your average forest road. Any vehicle with a running motor can do these pretty much.
    • A blue square represents a moderate trail, like a forest road with some deeply rutted sections that may need 4WD, some clearance and traction tires
    • A black diamond represents an advanced trail where 4WD, high clearance, lockers and traction tires are required. Extreme difficulty is represented by multiple black diamonds
If you have a perfectly easy trail with just one section that is a black diamond and no detours, the entire trail will be labeled a black diamond.

As long as you’ve considered that. I used to autocross back in the day, and you would believe the knuckleheads that thought the dealership would warranty their car at a race if something popped.

You have no idea... That particular story ended up in jail time for insurance fraud.

Above video happens, dude files insurance claim, blantantly lies to insurer, they weirdly buy off on the story, they write him a check, bystander gets pissed at outcome, sends in video tape...indictment and sadness.

It's not hard to get in a spot where you'd crush the tail pipe. Note I did not actually hit the pipe here. Was for a staged group shot.
    20190112_112742.jpg 20190112_112558.jpg

FWIW truck had just over 1000 miles when I did this. First trip in the dirt I still had dealer tags. Just turned 8k and have about 1500 miles of it on dirt.

Go out start slow and easy. Stock trucks are really capable

I used to do a lot of offroading a long time ago in my F150. I got stuck so bad one time that it high centered in mud, tires in the air. I had to get underneath the truck and dig it back down by hand. I was muddy and so what, it is fun. But as a rule of thumb, go slower and always travel previously travelled routes unless that is too rough. Sometimes the new path is the best path. If at all possible, have someone else go first, see what they do and where they go and follow them until you learn the path.

    GO FOR IT!!!

From the outside, just a hint. From the inside, no noise change for me.

I would guess it depends how fast you are driving. Stuck on the 405 for hours? Maybe. Normal DD duties, prob not. Then again I have an open bed, so IDK.
