Worst 3rd Gen colors?

Why y’all be hating on my white truck. That’s cold !!!

 

white and grey. they are on lots everywhere and are an eyesore.

cement is cool tho

 

i actually chose a color that was close to the primer color, having had a previous dark green vehicle look like crap with primer showing from rock chips.

 

Since Electric Lime is in the lead. I wouldn't mind seeing a Sao Paulo Yellow 2026 TRD 4Runner Pro.

Electric lime would not be my first choice... (among the last, actually. AND I did vote for it - BUT I am glad it is around...).

It is a peculiar choice.... but I believe, in time, it will command a premium. Extreme (should I say 'odd'?) colors always do... especially if they are less common.

Lunar rock is not in the same league (it was my top choice!), but I think it will always be desirable... I'll not that it is not so new... look at the sage green FJ40s. It is that color. I believe it has aged quite well... (But it does stand out in this age of an un-colored car market).

CA forest service vehicles have always been the coolest... for decades. They are basically lunar rock color... (well, they've cheaped out in the last few years and and seem to be buying lame plain white trucks and then add a few forest service stickers...).

People complain that they've discontinued the traditional (lunar rock-like) color...

I do not know why people devolved into these monochrome vehicle colors sooo dramatically! It is depressing. Roads & parking lots look like a scene from a sort of modern soviet approved pallette. All the same bland and lifeless colored cars in a sea of grayscale sadness...

I am a fan of (old) mini coopers... those came in every color imaginable. It is odd to ever see two in the same color.

 

Had to give it to Electric Lime. I like it on 4Runners, but there’s a local TRD Pro with that color and I just don’t care for it. Not a big fan of white, although a white TRD OR that’s dirty has a certain coolness to it. Lastly, not a big fan of silver, even though my truck is silver; I got a good deal on it and there’s nothing wrong with it, but it’s just pretty boring. Would have preferred Army Green or Barcelona Red if I’d had my choice of the full lineup when buying.

 

I wouldn't be able to stop licking the lime if I had that color.

4 runners have a different color. It’s like the one time trd colors were not synced. The 4 runners have “lime rush”, which is a bit paler than ELM

 

I’m surprised quicksand got that many votes. It’s a classic.

What’s with the crack smokers voting for quicksand? I’ve had my truck for eight years and never had to wash it. She looks like new!

 

Not a fan of silvers and grays. Too bland for me. I’ll stick with my burple blue crush metallic

 

I remember Consumer reports years ago saying Silver is the most dangerous since, it blends in with most road surfaces.

 

White is a color that actually provides a function. For those in the sunny south or other nasty heat zones, it reflects a decent amount of heat. I can't imagine owning a black truck in Florida!

And this white paint peeling thing is not an eventuality as many here appear to believe. And if it does happen, Toyota corporate has stated in writing it will be addressed via some TBD solution.

Plus white pigment is titanium dioxide, which is a fully oxidized and very stable titanium compound. The pigment will therefore not oxidize additionally nor change oxidation state after application and is very stable over time.
