    Dont get your hopes up on that TSB. Its only covered 3 year 36k miles. And all they do is replace the serp belt with a updated part. Nothing else.

    If your credit was that bad that you had to buy a relatively new vehicle from a used car dealership that installs ignition cut-offs to stop the vehicle from being run when the customers don't make their payments...

    You're not in the proper financial situation to own that truck. Issues aside, buying any vehicle that has dealership installed ignition modifications is a giant no no.

    Desert = auto correct
    Dealer is what needs to be there.
    There is technical service bulletin on the some models for the serpentine belt.... squealing and squeaking.

    Oh thats normal, when the AC system is pressurized, the compressor shuts off a for a bit, then it kicks back on again.

    Yeah I was thinking releasing the tensioner and trying the pulley and maybe it’s a bit seized up if not then I’m mechanically capable of doing a replacement the only reason why I didn’t touch the electrical is cause all these new cars I didn’t wanna fuck something more up. I work on classic cars as my job so I think that’s gonna be my go to this weekend

    Yeah my credit is no where near bad :D I actually bought the truck and a 2016 mustang for my lady that day :spending: just cause you buy it new doesn’t mean it isn’t good :rofl:it’s just a thing they do some vehicles as a sell up because if the car gets stolen they promise to pay off the car and give you 5 grand down on a new one.

    Hmmm yeah I may take it there to see what they say but if they say it needs to be replaced I’d rather do that on my own tbh

    Ok...Sure. Whatever you say.

    Your truck isn't new, and you bought it with mods that can remotely shut of the ignition. Maybe I'll go buy some beachfront property in Arizona

    Yeah I’m very aware I didn’t buy it new and I was aware of the mods. It’s just unfortunate that happened with my vehicle. Mustangs fine and so is my father in laws raptor that he got a few days later. Probably just a one off occurrence and they said they would cover the damages so we’ll see :thumbsup:

    Yep, here is a video of my 2018 ac clutch engaging and disengaging. You might have to wait a little bit till the video is done uploading/processing.

    Still thinking about it.
    Yes, maybe I assumed you know this already.... If you see the inner part of the A/C clutch turn for awhile and then stop, while the outer part continues to turn, that’s normal!

    If the outer part is binding up as well while the inner stays still, that’s bad! In this case there should be some real noise and obvious bad behavior from the belt.

    At 40 seconds the compressor turns on, 50 seconds it turns off, then it sits off for about a minute then turns back on.

    From what I seen briefly the actually pulley itself seemed to be stationary while the internal tried to spin. I’ll go deeper through the truck and take a grey sharpie or black and mark the pulley so I can visually see if it’s moving or not and video it and I’ll post it up on here Saturday or Sunday so I can have others that seem to know what they’re talking about put there input in as well! Haha
