Hey all, I have a 2017 TRD Sport 4x4 with 23,000 miles and I absolutely love the truck. However, the only regret I have is going with the short bed rather than the long bed. I'm also stuck with a high interest rate and I'm curious as to how much you all think I'd lose trading in my current rig with an equal spec taco with a long bed. Would love to keep the double cab too. Just trying to see if anyone has done this before I contact the dealers and get all their junk.

Welcome to the forum. The price difference could be as little as $12 as was posted by another member.

Pretty good deals going on. Interest rates are low. You should get a pretty good price for your 17, with 23K on clock. Give it a shot, walk away if it doesn't work out to your liking.
I have only ever owned long beds, would never buy a short bed.

Lower your tailgate or purchase a 5x8 utility trailer perhaps?

This is good advice. And buy an extender if you really need the extra inches.

I didn't expect to take car camping seriously but after a few trips in my long bed I wanna go full on! Seen a few long bed like mine at national parks missing some bumper covers LOL. I got the longbed because I do haul things.

There's definitely been several times in the past 8 months that having a long bed would have been very beneficial, it's a hard decision for sure and I don't have the space for a trailer.
