What mods do you feel was not worth it ? Something you wish you could change back?

Mounting stuff around my radio to make it look like the interior of my truck is the cockpit of an F-18. I thought I was soooo cool with my tablet/handheld radio/phone and then I realized I don't need any of that crap there and it was hard to work the truck radio and AC controls. I got rid of it all and put an aftermarket headunit in. When I need my radio while wheeling, it just rests in my cupholder.

I have not done it, and wont, but I would mention the gas cap holder people install, not needed.

The gashole is awesome. It's what, $20 and a fun little mod that directly supports a fellow Tacoma enthusiast? We've all spent more money on dumber stuff.

Not sure the intent of this thread was to criticize other people's choices. Of course, I could be wrong.

So far, I have not installed anything that I regret although I am considering shorter spacers for the back of the seats. Maybe try 1/4 lower as I continue to work towards a comfortable position.

Didn't mean to criticize, if it makes people happy, I say go for it.

Adding relays and switches to the cubby. I should have just gone straight for the switch pro, it's so much better.

oooo that's a good one. I tried to be budget friendly and deal with switches and relays but any more than like 2 accessories and it's a pain in the ass. Switch pro/spod makes life way easier. I wish I would have done it sooner.

Ouch. That's a rough list. Hard to undo a snorkel! :(
And if you are thrifty like me, the tires will be around for the duration. I have E-rated tires but they seem fine to me. We had E-rated K-bro's on the FJ and I guess we just got used to them.

hm i wouldn't exactly call them worthless or stupid, but unnecessary maybe? lets see...

-floor mats (Baja floor is already black plastic lol)
-interior LED bulbs, OEM were just fine
-3rd brake/license plate lights, never see them
-bed cleats (better to have and not need it...too bad i've never needed them yet)
    -virtually any aesthetic mod
-performance shocks , likely would have been just fine with a significantly cheaper pair, and saved money for my eventual long travel plans
    -trd pro shift knob
    -black shifter bezel
    -fog lights
    -aftermarket tail lights
-p much all auxiliary lighting as I don't do night runs too often if ever

How much of the mods that we do, do we really NEED? few, if any I say. but that's the beauty of being an enthusiast :)

Damn, I JUST finished with all the above via the Taco Garage MM. Haven't even made the first outing yet.
I don't really use the factory radio, aside from streaming from my phone. Hope I don't end up with the same remorse, as it's crossed my mind I was going too far. Without, at the very least, changing to a new head unit, I do need the table up there.
    Hmmm, we'll see..
